49er's Championship Offseason

Postby EntiatHawk » Mon Apr 14, 2014 8:06 pm

Well our friendly rival down the coast is just doing a bang up job of having a Championship off season. They are definitely trying to be beyond reproach ;)

The Championship offseason starring- Aldon"Im the Bomb" Smith, Colin" Bong and Bail" Kaepernick (with Special guests QP and RL), and finally Chris "Crash and Brass (Knuckles)" Culliver.

It sure is fun to see them trying to spin the innocent til proven guilty mantra over there when they were trying to spin how we are just cheaters and taking drugs up here.

The knife cuts both ways ;) (Though we had a few of our little DUI incidents also.)

But it does make for some fun does it not.

Isn't our offense down in SoCal this week for training for camp? At least we don't have to worry about them.

It ain't over till its over. I suspect we will have at least 1 knucklehead get popped for something before the summer is out. Hope not, but its the nature of the beast.

Yea, this 49'er off season is certainly beyond reproach, isn't it?

Oh yeah, I do recall that when our boys were getting the screws put to them over Adderall and weed (Oh my gosh! Think of the children!), Old Hairballs and the rest of the Vaginers fans were raking the Seahawks over the coals. All the while I thought to myself that people in glass houses should not throw stones. As if one group of football players is any more righteous and pure than another group.

And that's the main reason that I don't get caught up in comments jumping on another team's players legal issues. Because it's just as likely to come back home to roost.

But in this case it just feels wrong not to swing. Please Vaginer fans, let's hear once more how your Holy Annointed Team is more innocent and worthy of admiration than mine. I wish to see all of you jump to their defense. I'd love to examine at length the thoughtful reasoned excuses as to why your group of angels has decided to leap from heaven and cast their lot with the devil.

Yeah, right, I thought so. And you guys go into a Red and Gold lather because Sherman has a big mouth. Please. I'd have the glass removed from your new stadium before you move in.

Agreed, which is one of the reasons why I didn't go after Kaepernick after this latest mini scandal.

Nevertheless, I like contrasting our team with our "face of the franchise" Russell Wilson with that of the Niners. And as many negative things that I've said about Pete Carroll, he's miles ahead of Jim Harbaugh when it comes to being a class act. Bottom line is that I like rooting for the guys in the white hats, and for the most part, that's who we are.

Local radio down here (CA) has been going nuts about Aldon Smith. And to their credit, they realize that his future may not be in SF - or anywhere - if he doesn't straighten out. And it's true. You just don't know if the guy will put it together.

It's almost as if he wanted to be detained at LAX. Self sabotage is a strange, yet pretty common phenomenon, particularly for those who have a drug or alcohol past (or present), which Smith seemingly does when it comes to booze.

The fact that he was drinking, period, is drawing as much attention as anything else, and it should. Bottom line is, folks only change if they want to. Motivation has to come within. Doesn't matter how much he could lose in terms of money - or friends or family for that matter - if he chooses to continue down the path he's on.

I'm pulling for the guy from a human standpoint. It's only going to get worse unless he himself wants to change, and I hope he finds the courage to do so.

The only reason bringing up Kaep vs. Wilson is fun is Future's insistence that Kaep is Wilson's equal in character/intangibles, which just isn't true. It's never been true (not that it even means Kaep is of bad character), but Wilson is in rare air when it comes to that stuff... and it's fun tweaking Future over it.

RD, I could not agree more with you, esp in regards to Carroll vs Douchebaugh, but I have to say, I think we may be alone in thinking of our guys wearing the white hats. We are considered bullies in most places....and I LOVE that
