That should give us another 16M in Cap space.
Perhaps it’s a forerunner to being active early in Free Agency.

It could be, although I think Wags being released was a foregone foregone conclusion. We can be as aggressive as we want this year because we will have over $130 million free next year. PC and JS have the flexibility to add anything they want. I'm hoping, without a franchise QB we build through the trenches in FA and use our early pick in the draft for a pass-rusher or dominant DT if we get a guy like Chandler Jones in FA.

At this time last season, did you predict that the Bengals would finish 3 points from winning the Lombardi? This is the NFL, Obi.

But the Bengals have a seriously good QB. We don't.

That was far from a known at this time last season. Burrow didn't even play in a full season last year. How many first round busts have we seen over the years?

Burrow showed flashes of what the future might hold.
That he got injured didn't mean he wasn't progressing as well as or better than other QB's that turned out to be busts.

That's pretty easy... if it leads to us winning another Lombardi.

What I want to see is the building of a team that looks to be improving.
It probably won't happen this year, but next year we will have about 130M in Cap space to spend and I hope that our FO is much better in building a team
than maintaining a championship team.
Another thing that occurred to me is JS was looking at Josh Adams in his draft year as well as Mahomes pre draft then. He has also scouted some other
QB's, so I wonder if he's one of those guys who can identify QB's that can play in the NFL? He may not be able to identify OL to save his life, but just
maybe he can read good QB's. After all, he wanted Russ much earlier but was able to scoop him later than he wanted to wait. A fan can hope, I guess.

Mitch Turbisky showed flashes, too. So has Jalen Hurst and Tua Tag.

I'm not sure what the odds were of Cincy going to the SB was at this time last year, but I sure would have loved to have put down $500 on them.
