I understand. Having to rely exclusively on text without the non verbal ques make it difficult to determine intent. It's just that a player or coach hits a sweet spot with you then you get onto a drum beat with them and just keep on hammering it, whether it's Geno, Penny, Mike Vrabel, or Joe Burrow, so I couldn't resist giving you some grief. You have my sincere apology.
Nothing to apologize for brother. If we all agreed about everything why have a forum ? In cyberspace you dont see the other side. When Geno freakin Smith came in the Rams game I took a shot of rum with the kid and said so much for this game . Zero faith. Then he goes 98, 2 scoring drives. Yeah RD that's all it took. He had the ball with a chance to win till lock fell down. He proved to be extremely accurate with a very powerful arm, decent mobility and far better at protecting the ball than his earlier days. He completed balls to ten receivers vs Pittsburgh including an incredible Aaron Rodgers style back and forth and back again slide in the pocket to Penney Hart for his only reception of the game. Against Jax he completed his first 15 or something and the most amazing stat is he completed 10 passes to Lockette IN THE FIRST HALF. Many were tightly contested. His problem was sacks. 13 in 3 starts and it cost us the Pittsburgh game. Now hes screwed himself with this DUI when I thought he was grown up
Penney? I was screaming for him to get carries his rookie year but he couldn't get around Carson. I saw the potential his second year before the injury. But watching him this year getting an unimpressive carry here and there and the hamstring tightness etc. I felt he had lost the elite wheels. Then SF when when he flashed the speed in a couple of key situations and I said right here on this forum" watch out for this guy. "I always loved him RD and hes back to who he was but with experience. Where was I wrong?
Vrabel's a great freakin coach. Id trade him for Carroll right now. He got the 1 seed with Tannehill and no Dereck Henry.
Burrows is a really cool customer and great player. People say hes the next Brady but the swag is more like Brady 10 year vet or maybe even Joe Namath with the confidence. My word of caution is hes almost getting bigger than the team. Maybe hes the offensive version of Sherman in 2013 deflecting the attention and pressure away from his teammates. But the dude has swag. I called him vs KC....Im calling him next Sunday too.
