NorthHawk wrote:If the NFL is serious about having a team or two in Europe then they should consider moving it to Saturday. Since they are seven or so hours ahead, watching the game live isn’t a realistic option for most which means the audience won’t grow as fast. As well, if they do put a franchise there and the get to the SB,they won’t be able to maximize ad revenue as most won’t watch if it goes until two am.

Currently, with a Sunday 3:30pm PST start, it's 8:30am Monday morning in Tokyo. Moving it to Saturday makes the game a little more watchable for them.

Asia to my knowledge isn't being considered, but yah it adds to the potential audience.
Therefore it would mean a 10:30pm or thereabouts depending on where in Europe start on Saturday night instead of Sunday night.
It just makes a wider audience more available.
I'm all for it.

England is already a site for games and there is talk about Germany soon, too. Asia is simply a novelty at this point with hopes of getting there some day like they are doing in Europe.
NorthHawk wrote:The problem is the travel distance to Asia.
When the new SST type of planes come along, then it will be much more feasible but a team like Miami playing in Tokyo would be a nightmare.
