Best and worst NFL actors

Best NFL actor? Baker Mayfield. He seems so natural and relaxed in those my stadium is my home commercials. Mayfield has an acting career ahead of him after the NFL. The Boz might get runner up awards in the Doctor Pepper commercials.

Worst NFL actor? Rob Gronkowski. He way over acts. Artificial. Stilted. And boy, the lines they give him are less than inspiring.

He's not an actor, but Michael Strahan has become a very successful television host. Very well spoken, great smile, seems like a genuine nice guy.

I don't know of any current NFL or other professional athletes that I've seen as actors that I liked. Some of the light beer commercials were really great, and one of the all time greatest commercials was of Mean Joe Green chugging a bottle of Coke and tossing his jersey to the kid that gave it to him.

It's safe to say that we won't be seeing Aaron Rodgers appearing on the tube anytime soon outside of his role as Packers QB.

Is it taboo to mention Officer Nordberg?

From another era, but I'd say Alex Karras. Was in various stuff for 30 years, including Blazing Saddles.

Yeah, Karass knocking out the horse was one of the funniest scenes in that movie. He also was also a color man on Monday Night Football. I died laughing when they showed a sidelines shot of Otis Sisktrunk, who was sporting a shaved head, and although it's commonplace today, was extremely unusual for the 70's...Telly Salavas was the only actor I knew of that sported one.

Anyway, when they zoomed in for a close up of Sisktrunk with his helmet off and Karass said that he was from "the University of Mars".
