I suspect it will be a bit of a mess for a while until all countries agree on some type of procedures that are common. And that takes us back to teams playing in London. Who knows what type of restrictions they may demand or if there is another "wave", so if I were running a team and was playing there and I had 2 players rated equally but one is unvaccinated, I would cut that player and keep the vaccinated one. It might even be a factor for those teams not playing outside the US as a player that comes down with Covid-19 and is not vaccinated could get a severe case and be out months while a vaccinated one would probably only be out for a 2 week waiting period.
The odds of a vaccinated person contracting the virus AND spreading the disease is very, very remote: The researchers believe the decreased viral load hints that vaccinated people who do contract the virus will be less infectious because they will have much less virus that could be spread to others. IMO requiring a vaccinated person to take a PCR test reeks of ignorance of the science and research on the subject.

I don't think anyone, regardless of political bent, is hoping for the virus to be worse.

There are still many many doctors, etc that do not support the 'shots' because a typical time for studies takes 3-5 years, not months. Generally you do not want the general public to be part of the test, but I took my Pfizers like a man and didn't have any negative effects, but we really rolled the dice on this, and it looks like 'science' is winning.

We produce a new flu vaccine every year based on the flu for that year. They took vaccine technology which has been around for a long, long time and applied it to this virus. The underlying science is using a dead version of the virus to activate your immune system to increase resistance to the virus. This isn't something completely novel that has never been done before or an entirely new untested compound. Not sure why people are viewing it as such.
mRNA delivery systems have been in development for a while. Vaccines have been around for a while. This isn't an extremely complex vaccine for an extremely complex virus.
Do you want science to be able to beat viruses like this or don't you? If they come up with a solution, you should participate. People want science to beat all these diseases and sicknesses, then don't want to participate when they think they've found a solution. Just seems to be encouraging failure due to lack of participation rather than a failure of the scientific process.
I don't get it. We literally put all the scientific minds of the world to work on beating this virus. They came out with a solution they believe will be effective in record time and now people are listening to quacks who aren't even offering a better solution? Pretty ridiculous. People should be lining up to get this vaccine that human minds around the world developed to defeat this pandemic. Same as they would other medical technologies that extend and improve their lives.
