Well if the $37M guarantee is for 1 year it can't very well reduce this year's cap. I don't understand "for 1 year" ... what are you saying?

Which one? A starter? The top FA WR signed for 4 years and 72 million- and he was hurt most of last season (played 5 games). One that that is important to note about our contract with Lockett is that it is an extension. We won't know until we actually see the contract but there's a good chance it is more like a 5 year 70 mil contract which is closer to a 14-15 mil/year deal. There weren't many receivers in the league who can match Lockett's production over the past 3 seasons with over 200 catches, over 3,000 yards and 28 TD's. He has played as a top receiver in the league during that stretch. He's not a top 10 guy but he definitely falls in that 10-20 range.

Maybe your right MK14, I just have a hard time paying over 10 mill a year for a player that is not an All Pro that is good, not great. As River pointed out to me one day, NFL salaries are going up higher than us old guys can imagine!

Its not like When River and I were growing up, the colleges are turning out boatloads of them every year now. Get me an average one who can create separation when the blitz is on, and I am good, TL is good but not great to me.

What about DK?
