I'm a little disturbed about Metcalf's end zone stunt.

Aseahawkfan wrote:DK don't seem like TO at all. Crazy celebrations don't make you TO. If DK starts blaming his QB for offense problems and behaving selfishly, then I'll worry. A young guy having some fun the day before his birthday I'm not going to worry about at all. Sometimes young guys gotta have some fun.

jshawaii22 wrote:jumping over the stands, pushing a cameraman out of the way and 'pretending' to do that job is not only old, it's T.O. Exactly the type of selfish behavior TO would do, without any concern for the consequences, in this case 15 yards. Once you start down this road, the team (meaning other players and coaches) need to put a stop to it.

But Dk, dude....You have to win there, if not catch the ball you MUST make sure its not picked. You have to protect your money maker there. Russ was much better yesterday, obviously. I feel far better. But DK needs to stop taking plays off .

Russell's interception came on 2nd down and we were threatening, with the ball on the Jets 37. Russell could have easily gotten rid it and thrown it beyond the LOS and lived to play another down yet he chose to throw the ball some 45 yards in the air while running away from his throwing arm, leaving it well short of its intended target. He would have had to have gotten the ball another 6-8 yards to the corner of the end zone to put it where it should have been, making his receiver the only one that could catch it. It was a horrible decision and exactly the type of mistake he's been making over the past month or so. Fortunately it was one of the few he made yesterday, but my concern still lingers.
My sentiments about yesterday's game is basically neutral. That Jets are horrid, the worst NFL team that I can recall seeing in the past several years. They were completely dysfunctional on both sides of the ball. Their quarterback's completion percentage was barely 50% and he should have had 3 interceptions. Their kicker missed 3 very makeable FG attempts. There isn't a lot to take away from this game other than Carson and Hyde looking a lot healthier.
Next week will be a far greater challenge. Washington is a sleeper, and this is much more than simply a trap game. They're 6-7, have won 4 in a row, and are leading their division, making them playoff hungry. They haven't lost a game by more than a field goal since Week 5. We have to bring our 'A' game.
