Nice lead and some nice plays. But boy, we left a bunch of points on the field and to let them go down the field with 35 sec left is disappointing.

Yea, I'll say.

There's a reason why the Jets are 0-12. Just a horrible team, worst I've seen in some time.

Too easy....if we’d hung on to our INTs this could have 50+point game (by end of 3rd). I’m not used to this...it’s messing with my metabolism.

LOL! We needed a blowout win just to get both players and fans off this edge that we've been on.

But it wasn't pretty. Russell continued a disturbing trend by throwing a horrible interception and blew a scoring opportunity. DK Metcalf is telling us that he might turn into another diva wide receiver ala T.O. We let a relatively slow QB escape sure sacks. Our special teams allowed a 70+ yard kickoff return.

I can't imagine Sam Darnold being in a Jets uniform next year. They likely stand to get the #1 overall pick in the draft, which probably means Trevor Lawrence.

I’m not going to complain. Our D was good, gave up 185 yards to a team averaging 285, and scored 40 points while playing backups the entire 4th quarter.

I feel like I’ve been as critical of PC and the Hawks as anybody, but it looks like you want to take it to another level. I wouldn’t call DK a Diva yet... I like his edge and hunger for now, although I will admit he has some maturing to do, but to call him the next TO seems extreme. I have no problem with our D- yes we missed some sacks, but played pretty solid otherwise (minus a few easy INT’s). Our special teams has been lights out all year- if they’re going to give up a big return this is the game to give it up!

Errors occur in every game. You do need to stop the stupid ones, and judging from Pete’s comments after the game, he’ll be having a conversation with DK. No issue wth special teams, although I don’t understand how you make 29 straight field goals and then miss extra points.

On the game, its the Jets, thats all. Lets not go bonkers. On DK, it was a minor screw up, so what, it wont happen again.

Go back and re-read what I said. I didn't call DK a diva. I said that he 'might' turn into one.

The Jets are a totally dysfunctional team, especially on offense. There really is no take aways from this game. I can't remember the last time we pulled our starting quarterback in the 3rd quarter. It was a glorified bye.

I re-read what you said. You didn’t say he was the next TO, but you did effectively compare the two in terms of ‘diva’ behavior, which I would still argue is premature.

DK and T.O.'s behavior are EXACTLY the same. T.O. used props, like fake popcorn and Sharpies, to celebrate touchdowns. By jumping into the stands and using the TV camera as a prop, DK did EXACTLY the same thing. At least as far as the TD celebrations go, the comparison between him and T.O. is inescapable.

Keep in mind that DK has already had an incident earlier this year when he started his TD celebration prematurely and cost us a touchdown. I would argue that the concern that he could turn into a T.O.-like diva is not premature.

Joe Horn and Michael Thomas both used cell phones as well and they aren’t TO. While I agree that I don’t like the penalty or the premature TD celebration I don’t think they point to TO anymore than other guys. To me Doug Baldwins pooping during the SB was much worse than DK today and I don’t remember anybody calling him TO. There is no doubt he *could* become a diva but IMO he’s more Calvin Johnson/Jerry Rice than TO. When we hear about crazy off-the field behavior or mental issues then I’ll concede the comparison, but until then I don’t think the comparison is ‘inescapable.’

It's way premature and also way off base. And being such a stickler for details I'm surprised at you. the sharpie in the sock, the fake popcorn, the cellphone hid away in the goalpost all we preplanned and props set in place before hand, this was NOT that, this was just him using what was already there, a "part of the field" if you will. This, though appropriately a penalty where the other weren't, is more analogous to Sherm dancing with the cheerleader.

Baldwin's ball pooping celebration didn't draw a 15 yard penalty. DK's did. Big difference.

But I agree. Over the years, there have been multiple players engage in T.O.-like conduct and did not wind up with a similar personality. Nevertheless, the comparison of his action yesterday is completely valid and the concern genuine.

I am not saying that DK has or will turn into a T.O.-like diva and I am not making any predictions. To the contrary, I feel that the odds are that he won't. I am simply making an observation, that #14 looked a helluva lot like #81.

Lets don't forget Chad Ochocinco. What an idiot he made out of himself, coming out of the locker room with a fake gold HOF blazer on, pulling out the end line flag and using it to putt the football
Honestly other than letting up on the TD and getting caught I have no problem with DK being young and acting the superstar WR thing out minus the stupid stuff than draws penalties. Just produce .

I have quite a different take on Baldwins dump on the ball in the super bowl coupled with Richard Sherman's taunting of Darrelle Revis after the play. It punctuated the last real play Seattle made in the game as the Pats scored 14 straight and picked Russ in the end. It was a classless embarrassment in front of the entire world, a display of attitude and cockiness that wound up penalized a lot more than 15 yards. Worse than any other stunt ive ever seen any wideout do.

I don't, either. I draw the line at doing crap that actually hurts the team, like turning a TD into a turnover and forcing our special teams to kickoff from our own 20.

I for 1 was ready for a comfortable blowout win. It was very relaxing. My only gripe is that PC pulled the starters & I had RW & CC on my fantasy squad, lol.

As for the cameraman stunt, meh, he'll probably get fined but I don't put him in the same league as T.O. just yet. Maybe Calvin Johnson, (but hopefully with a longer career).
I was operating handheld camera for a Cheap Trick show once & Rick Nielson kept licking & sticking his guitar picks to my forehead. I just washed my face. I'm sure the camera op didn't mind. That's show biz ladies & gents. 8-)
