9er game

Great win, IF the defense could of held them to 21. We are 6-1 and have a 2 game lead, not even I can snivel.

First time in 20 games that we had over a 3 TD lead going into the 4th quarter. And the other little bonus was the Rams losing to Miami, sending them to 3 losses and Rambo to the closet for at least a week.

Next week will be a bigger challenge. Buffalo is arguably the 2nd best team in the AFC.

No question. IF we beat them I think we are home. Kinda like Biden taking TX or Florida!

We are a long ways from home if we beat the Bills. The Cards are one game back and they already own a win over us.

We're not even halfway through the regular season. There's still a lot of football to be played.

While it was more like the battle of wounded knee than anything, RW and DK were awesome and the D held their own for 3/4 of the game. If we can get Jamal, Snax, Carlos, Chris and another RB (or three) back, I like our chances in Buffalo. RWs 3 INT game seemed good for him. Yes the niners were injured, but I cannot recall us being this injured since the tail end of last year heading into the playoffs & we didn’t do so well. Cheers to the Hawks....RW, DK, DeeJay, & Bobby especially. I really believe our D is a few plays a game away from rounding a corner. I’m diggin it.6&1 is a DISASTER, indeed! ;)

Sure, nothing is in the bag River, but IF we beat Buffalo, and all the rest of the teams we are supposed to, that would leave us with 11 wins. Wa, NY, Jets, and Philly.

We have to keep in mind that Garappolo was absolutely horrid. He had a QBR of 14.5, and even that stat is generous. It wasn't until they brought in Mullens that they started moving the ball. But nevertheless, it was very encouraging to see our defense show some signs of life, and getting some of those bodies you mentioned in the game will no doubt help.

Thanks to the win yesterday, the Bills game is not critical. After them, we have games against the Rams and Cards coming up before we hit a soft spot in our schedule that includes the Eagles, Giants, Jets, and WFT. No team is a gimmie but you have to like our chances of setting ourselves up for a good playoff run. Too bad the COVID thing negates the home field advantage as with the Packers losing to the Vikings, a team we've already beaten, we have the inside track.

Yes. We do. Good points AND, it’s fair to keep in mind that we were up 3 scores when the D started letting them have the easy stuff. It was a clock management thing too. Jimmy G. has had some nice games since the Ankle, but our D turned it up and put scads of pressure on him. It wasn’t like he came out and sucked. He’s no RW, but he got beat up in that game cause we beat him up. We were on our 4h string RB and had a total of SEVEN started out. And we kicked their asses. Coleman wasn’t really a factor, nor were Jimmy and George when they went out. The D turned it up more than a few notches and RW was en fuego after 3 picks last week.

What you say is true, that most of Mullens success was during garbage time when we were playing the clock as much as we were defending the end zone.

I'm actually excited about the prospects of turning our D around. I don't think it's reasonable to expect that this group will ever reach the heights attained by the LOB, but with our offense averaging a league best 34.3 points per game, they don't have to be that good, just not as bad as they've been. We still have a problem getting pressure rushing 4. Most of our pressures came via a blitz. Hopefully getting Dunlap in the mix will help.
