The d has some really good players, so they should be as bad as they have been, I think it’s the overall scheme and things they refuse to do or try to do, and mixing things up...
Pete commented he wished they would have changed things and made adjustments in the 2 nd half on D but didn’t do crap, yet the other team did, I saw a big difference in the cards D in 2nd half, other teams make adjustments in the game but the hawks never usually seem to, ..... very frustrating
Klanky wrote:Schneider is starting to piss me off, he’s whiffed on the majority of draft picks in recent years mostly on the D side of things, and they didn’t want to fix the pass rush in the off season very bad,
He needs to fix this somehow.. or like others have said wasting Wilson in his prime, and if I was Lockett I’d be pissed losing the last game after the amazing game he had.... Tired of the excuses Pete also has, “ were on it” “ were looking at things and where to tweek a few things” “ we have guys coming back” , blah blah blah,..
Well how long do they need to look at it, it’s been going on for at least a year and a half now... be creative and get in some few blood, what you have isn’t going to cut it....

When has PS or PC fixed either lines? My best friend lives in Cleveland, he said can you imagine if last year the Hawks and the Ravens had flopped QB's with all of their All-Pros? Ravens would not have lost a game!

Klanky wrote:If anyone has Seahawks connections to the front office, put a bug in their ear, we need one more quality edge rusher, don’t stop with just Dunlap, my preference is they try to go and get Kerrigan, he’s still is effective even in a reduced role.... But I’m certain there are aware, and on it, just hope they don’t miss out on getting someone else who can have an immediate impact, and help the D
But of course I realize other teams are needing what we need and Will surely be competing for their services, Edge rushers are in short supply
Klanky wrote:Like I said in other posts, if the hawks really wanted to they could find away, trade a player or 2 where they are flush ( te) to someone in need and get a draft pick or two that way then turn around and use those picks for another edge rusher....

Aseahawkfan wrote:And Dunlap and Snacks haven't played yet? So we have edge rush help coming. Adding more would be nice. Though no more of this soft defense with the lead. Just keep on attacking.

One or two of them can be trade bait, and late round draft picks are expendable, so I am expecting some action before Tuesday's trade deadline. Today's Niner game showed some defensive improvement, and it seems to me the defense could be on the rise. Another rusher with some skills and they could reach a new level..

Yeah. I hate the prevent defense. We were doing better playing aggressive. In this era of quick passing games and scoring when given open ground, the prevent should go away.
c_hawkbob wrote:Our defense played the 4th quarter absolutely appropriately under the circumstances. I know the prevent D isn't popular among fans but there is a solid reason every team still uses it.
