Jamal Adams Status

Postby Vegaseahawk » Wed Oct 21, 2020 12:37 pm

I'm reading that Jamal Adams was originally scheduled to return this week from a pulled groin, but now, PC is saying that he's "uncertain" about whether or not he will play in week 7. Anyone hear anything?

it's a bummer, but pulled groins and hammies are2 of the worst 'non-surgery' injuries that never seem to heal and can be reinjured if you don't wait until they are 100% healed. It's only been 4 weeks and the typical return time is 6 weeks. Seems logical that he won't play this week. Too bad as he's the perfect spy for Kyler.

The article I saw said that Pete could just be engaging in a little gamesmanship, keep your opponent guessing, make it a little more difficult for them to prepare. Adams is one of those players that everyone watches to see where he lines up.

They originally said it was a grade 1 strain. I looked it up and the literature said 2 to 3 weeks, so maybe it was a little worse than
reported or maybe he overdid the rehab and had a setback. In any event, you're right in these types of injuries can be troublesome
if not fully healed before returning to action. I hope it's not one of those sports hernia injuries that almost always require surgery.

Usually Pete is the opposite in that he chooses to be less concerned. Take the signing of Kendricks today. I will assume that we have a LB go onto IR in the next couple of weeks when Kendricks is ready to play, if not sooner and that's not the Pete speak we've been given, but I sure hope you're right, RD and we see Adams on the field Sunday.

6 Weeks!! I think the words from I-Robot don't adequately describe how I feel right now!! We gave up 2 first rounders for this guy!! Okay River, Cbob, everybody else. I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO NANNER, NANNER. NANNER. Okay I feel better now. This why you dont give up the farm for ONE player.

From watching Pete's presser I definitely got the impression it would be week 8 before we see him, I didn't think he was trying to dupe anyone.

Isn't that great. Adams has no injury issues until he gets to Seattle after we spend 2 1st rounders for him. If he gets back healthy and helps us on the tail end of the season, I'll ok. But damn it sucks to have a guy who was performing at a high level go out like this after you give up so much for him.

Good teams don't miss out on improving their team because of the possibility of injury.
There would never be any trades in that case.
