Yea, but we traded a 4th and a 5th for Beast. The Jags couldn't even get a 6th for Fournette and were forced to release him.
The other difference is that Beast had several injuries and a suspension in his last full season with the Bills and had been replaced in the starting lineup by Fred Jackson, who went on to have a 1,000 yard rushing season. Lynch finished that season with just 450 rushing yards and never broke 100 yards/game, making him expendable and which could account for the relatively low trade value.
Not so with Fournette, who last season rushed for 1100 yards/17 TD's, and 500+ receiving yards in 15 games. Who wouldn't trade a 6th rounder for the 4th overall in the 2017 draft still on his rookie contract and who just turned in that kind of season?
I'm not saying he won't thrive in Tampa Bay, but there's something that's not adding up for 31 teams to pass on him for a measly 6th rounder.
