Jaran Reed

I see Jaran Reed left practice with a lower leg injury. Has anyone heard any detail?

He limped off the field and didn't return. That's all I could come up with.

Edit: Poona Ford also sustained a leg injury, but didn't leave the field. Not a good start for an already thin DL.

I've said this before, but it seems to me that injuries strike where a team is thinnest. It always seems to happen that way.
A team trades away depth at a position and suddenly the remaining starters get injured. It's weird that way. Maybe Karma, I guess.

It sure seems that way. Last season, it was running backs and offensive linemen.

I can't remember the year, but there was one season where we had so many wide receivers injured that we had to play our backup QB (Seneca Wallace) as a wide receiver.

Coachspeak starts again in 2020.

On the injury news, get ready for a ton of it. The short off-season being the #1 reason.

I noticed on your link that Will Dissly passed his physical and, no surprise here, Rashard Penny is starting the season on the PUP.

Yeah, Look at #88... he's not Dissley this year and he gave Olsen his #. Dissley is now #89 and yes, the pictures from camp show him from practice #1. Great news for him and Carson coming back. I Can't wait to see Dissley, Olsen and DK on the field at the same time in passing situations.

I think Carlos Hyde will prove to be one of the best FA pickups this year -- If history holds, he's better than Penny, anyway.

Hyde is listed at 6.0" and 236 lb. I didn't realize he was that beefy. Has he bulked up over the years?
