Opt Out tracker

Postby NorthHawk » Tue Jul 28, 2020 11:56 am

Here is a link to how many and which teams players have opted out of playing this year because
of the COVID-19 virus.

So far, only G Chance Warmack has done so for Seattle. The Pats have a bunch opting out so far.

Most will opt out in the end. The season will be played for maybe 10-12 games before the league calls it off.

Seahawks will have wasted many big future draft picks and money on these recent trades for not reason

Basement team from here on

Any win this year will have a footnote

No big names in there yet, but it's early. If teams start getting a lot of positive tests, players might start getting cold feet.

That's a big name, alright. IMO Kittle is the best tight end in the league and the 49'ers best player.

I wonder if the news about the Miami Marlins having half their team test positive had any influence on Kittle's decision?

I'm not sure of the story's veracity, I trust Rapoport, but this looks like it could have been a quality fake (that's why I deleted it), I'll put it back up if I get a verifying report.

It's interesting to me the number of linemen both on Offense and Defense that are opting out.
The Pats are hit the worst losing Hightower and Chung along with some others, but I expect
more to not play this year.
