As for injuries, they're more than just a little bit overstated; he'd started all 16 games for 9 straight seasons before breaking his foot in 2017, had some issues with that recovery but looks to be 100% now.

Oly wrote:Only $5.5M is guaranteed, and if the other $1.5M is tied to incentives rather than roster bonuses, I'll be happy. I also think $7M is a bit steep, but not so much that I'm disturbed by it. We saw how much RW loves his TE security blanket, and Olsen is one of the best blocking, security blanket TEs out there. I just hope they rotate TEs to keep them fresh and less likely to get hurt.

Yes, it is: Rapoport added that the Vikings are "adamant" Diggs is not available for trade unless they are blown away by an offer. Diggs is in the midst of the first year of a five-year, $72 million extension he signed with the Vikes last year, per Spotrac.

Austin Hooper from the Falcons is being left to test FA, and he's only 25 so he might
be a long term addition with Olsen a shorter term TE. That would leave us with
Hooper, Olsen, and Dissly which would be an upgrade to what we had last year.
NorthHawk wrote:I forgot about Hollister, but I also wonder if he's a legitimate starter and doesn't seem to have
the bulk to block like the others on the team. Maybe he could be used as an H-Back or something.
My hope is that they'll slap a 2nd round tender on him. He put up some pretty good receiving numbers so maybe someone will give us a draft pick for him.

Who is the better TE?? Dissly and it's not really close, especially in our offense. Although Hollister's 40 is faster (4.64 vs. 4.86) their 10 and 20 yard splits are very similar (20 yard split: Hollister: 2.70 Dissly: 2.73). Also, there agility tests were very similar with Hollister's being slightly better. The major difference between the two is weight (they are the same height). Dissly comes in at 262 while Hollister is only 239. Dissly is by far a superior blocker, especially when lining up on the LOS. Hollister is more of an H-back, not a great in-line blocker. He needs to get leverage with his angles and things like that to be effective blocking. They both have good hands and are effective as receivers, but Dissly has more potential in our offense because he is such a good blocker. Now if Dissly can't stay healthy (which he hasn't yet in the NFL) then it's a moot point. IMO, we will tender Hollister and retain him and (as long as there are no injuries) our TE's on opening day next year will be Olson, Dissly, and Hollister.
