Wisconsin in Winter. And the Green Bay fans hate us, even if the management gets along. They'll want to pay us back for that insane down 4 TD comeback. Should be fun. If we can knock out Rodgers, it will be all young QBs in the playoffs for the first time in ages.

Yea, that was Metcalf's best game as a pro, and he's allayed my fears that he might be a prima donna when the first thing we heard about him was showing up to his first meeting with his coach bare chested.

I would have never thought that we could win a game with just 17 yards rushing from our running backs. But the offensive line did a fair job of protecting Russell and we didn't turn the ball over. At the risk of repeating an overused cliché, we had a bend but don't break defense, keeping the Eagles out of the end zone.

Did anyone besides me catch our special teams in punt formation with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter and a running game clock snap the ball with at least 15 seconds still left on the play clock? Am I all wet for pointing out that we had an 8 point lead and should have been milking every possible second off the game clock?

Oh, well, at least they gave me something to b**** about.

Noticed the Eagles had the #3 ranked run defense in the league (90.1 ypg) just now, maybe I came down off the ledge a bit, cause the rushing attack today was dreadful. Brown and Iupati coming back next weekend would be huge. The Packers ranked #23 (120 ypg). Keeping Rodgers off the field will obviously be a key, so getting a ground game going and controlling TOP will be important.

Yeah, as ASF alluded to, it will be the first playoff meeting since the epic NFC Championship game in 2015 that you know still has a bitter taste in Rodgers mouth. They will be rested, and have a much much better team than the Eagles. Seahawks will need an all out effort with minimal mistakes. The combo of Rodgers/Jones/Adams is legit. I am expecting us to be about a 4-6 point underdog. Gotta hope Pete ball once again keeps the game close and RW3 can weave his magic. I know the NFL is a week to week business, so although today's win didn't totally inspire alot of confidence in me, it's still a road win in the NFL playoffs. Kudos to the entire team.

Always exciting going into Lambeau in the playoffs, would just be so sweet to end Rodgers season again and move onto the NFC Championship.

Well, if our season ends at Greenbay, I think we would all have to admit the Hawks had a better season than any of us expected. We got through the first round of playoffs instead of being sent packing.

ya the eagles have a good run defense, which is partly the reason for the dismal running today by the hawks, but not being an expert on scheming and all that, for some reason OC play calling kept running homer right into the teeth of the defense, that’s not where he can do much and excel, scheme plays to get him space the patched up OL wasn’t making any holes to give the running game a chance... I hope in Green Bay, they can get it turned around....

To Rambo, any game the Seahawks win is ugly lol. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Besides, Pats and Saints fans would beg to differ who had the ugliest game.

How about the Bills fans? Watching some of those plays Josh Allen tried to pull off? Had it not been for some quick thinking by one of his linemen, that play where he attempted to lateral would have made Leon Lett's actions look cerebral.

For those wanting to get some good mojo going before Sunday's game, NFL Network is airing a half hour segment on the 2015 NFC Championship game at 4:30AM on Saturday tomorrow. They actually showed the entire game yesterday. I was at that game, oh my, a day I will not forget.

I was also there. It was awesome! I was also a 'the-tip' the year before. Hard to say which was a better memory, but its hard to beat the last 3 min and overtime of that Packers Game!!!!

I'm envious of both you guys! As many football games as I've attended, I've never been to an NFL playoff game, but it's on my bucket list! It's pretty unlikely, but if we beat the Packers and the Vikings beat the Niners I might see if I can check it off.

Yeah my buddy and I usually go to one game a year and we always have a standing order that we will go to any home NFCCG so hopefully I'll see you in Seattle in a few weeks!!

Have to say not going to the 49'ers NFCCG the year before was my biggest regret. I could have gone, but chickened out. It was gonna by really pricey for a 1 night overnight + ticket, and I was too scared to pay that much and see them lose. That is why I went the next year, to help overcome the regret. But if I had to choose, it would definitely be the 49'er game, mostly because they won it all that year. That game is probably the most exciting game in Seahawks history.

I was also at the 2006 NFCCG against the Panthers, just an epic day. RiverDog, there is nothing like being in that stadium for a playoff game, you have to go one year, no matter it costs so much, it is worth it. The only thing I will say negatively is going to regular season game after that can be a bit of a letdown

One of the problems I've had is living on the east side of the mountains. The weather is always a crap shoot and I hate driving at night in snow, ice, fog, etc. But now that I'm retired, I don't have to worry about going to work on Monday morning. :D

If I do end up going, I'll shoot you a PM and see if we can meet up.

I dunno. If we had Carson , Penney , Lupati etc Id feel better . The offense doesn’t have the same personality . That said we have Russ, a far superior QB when pressured . Russ faces constant pressure . Rodgers was the 3rd least sacked Qb in the league. If we get pressure he’s very ordinary . Their running back is scary. Hopefully with Clowney feeling better and Diggs as well we can slow that guy down although Seattle has had backs gash them and still won. It might come down to turnovers . I have no clue what’s going to happen . Speculative wishful thinking I’ll go 27- 13 hawks

The weather forecast is as good as it gets for this time of year in Green Bay: 26 degrees, partly cloudy, 0% chance of precipitation, light winds. Since Russell isn't known as a great bad weather QB, that should be in our favor, or at least it shouldn't be a factor. I don't know why they assigned this game to the late afternoon time slot, 5pm local, while the 49'ers are playing in the early game. It would sure seem to make sense to put the west coast venue in the later time slot even if you didn't take into account possible conditions in Green Bay.

We haven't won in Lambeau Field this century, but we might be able to pull out a win if we can get pressure on Rodgers, who played horribly in his last outing vs the Lions in a game they were lucky to win. I'm cautiously optimistic, so I'll go with 24-21 Hawks on a walk off FG by Meyers.

Rodgers only put up more than 23 points once in the second half season, 31 vs the Giants. That's will a bell cow running back, pretty good receivers, a stout D and not bad line. They scored 11 in losing to the flipping chargers and 8 being demolished by the 9ers in that stretch. They can be had.

The weather channel is reporting that the Green Bay airport is just about closed down and over 1/2 the flights aren't in... i assume that would be most 'Hawk fans trying to get to the game. I hope the team is already there. Ice on highways is a major issue tonight and team bus drivers aren't always the best dealing with this type of issue. Hunker down. It's winter and cold for the islands, too. It's 77 right now... Burrrrr.

 Obi definitely takes the crown for most "pessimistic" on here. Love ya though Obi, we all do.

RW3 has to ball out today, as always. He will need an MVP performance and the D will have to do just enough for Hawks to win this. Hoping for a big special teams play in there today to make a difference. As you can see I am cautiously optimistic, so want to see the rubber match with the 9'ers in their house.

Enjoy the game everyone......Go 'Hawks!

I could say I told you so, but with the come back I kind of lose all rights. I wasn't trying to be Dr. Doom this time CB, I really felt that IF we had all our RB's we would have won this game. This was over at the half and he brought us back. Going forward we have to dump Clowey and draft some OLineman. However, we been saying that since the PC era began. I think the 9ers Boat Race everyone the rest of the way.

Agreed about Mahomes. Unlike Lamar Jackson, he has a very accurate arm and doesn't have a run-first instinct when the play breaks down. That's not to say that Jackson won't eventually develop, just that he's not there yet while Mahomes is.

Packers will get their arses handed to them in the NFCCG, but the AFC is going to be interesting. I was impressed with the Titans defense, so I'm going with them: 49'ers vs. Titans in the Super Bowl.

After scaring the dog (sorry Odie) and having some time to make sense of it all - with the injuries& youth, odds-makers had us as the underdog. Still, we could have done it and we came up short. All said, it was a good season.

It was a good season HS till the Ram game, the meat wagon started to take its toll on us. We were close to having Home field. IF we could have just kept Penny or Carson healthy, we would have won today, but losing both was devastating.

That's pretty much my take, too, although I'll take it out to the Cards game in Week 16 when Carson was injured. Getting a first round bye is what we needed, and once we lost to the Cards, that scenario was taken out of our hands. In the 3+ games since Carson went down, we gained a whopping 180 yards rushing from our running backs, including just 58 yards in our two playoff games.

So now we head into the offseason, with a number of decisions to make, the first being whether or not to resign Clowney. We're going to need a RT as it's doubtful that we'll sign Ifedi, and I doubt that we bring back the often injured Ipati and Joey Hunt was over matched as Britt's replacement, so OL has to be close to the top of the wish list. A pass rushing DL and another multi purpose tight end have to rank high on the list, too.

Exactly Sis! Had we come into the postseason with Dissley, Carson, prosise, Iupati etc Id have been pretty disappointed with this result. With what happened to our roster Im proud and also optimistic for next year.

I'm hoping the spate of injuries this year is a one time thing.
Every team loses players to injuries every year, but I heard I think it was Aaron Levine after
the game saying we have 17 players on IR. If that's true, it must be a one time only thing as
a team isn't going to be competitive absorbing that many hits to the lineup.

Some of the veteran players we brought in, specifically Iupati and Ziggy, were damaged goods when they arrived so in some respects, it's our fault for putting our eggs in a basket with holes. We also had Reed suspended for the first 6 games, Al Woods for the last 4, and Josh Gordon for the entire season. We took some substantial risks as JS/PC knew that the roster was pretty thin.

Yep. Now if they can build off the good players they picked up this year, we can get back into it. Another shrewd year of drafting and free agency with no desperate moves and I think we'll be contending again. There are no dominant teams right now with the demise of the Patriots.
