Vanilla win. Good First half, but letting Staub throw for 450+ yards, come on, our Defense cannot stop anyone.

Defense is terrible. I think this might be worse than the defense when Pete first arrived. Drafting and signings have been awful. Pete and John making too many reaches and trades for immediate gain instead of continuing the philosophy they started with.

24-3 at the half and the team goes to sleep or just has a 99% letdown when Britt went down. No pressure on the QB puts too much pressure on our d-backs. B/U QB's always seem to give us way too much trouble, like today. Clowney does his M Bennett impersonation and gives the Falcons a couple first downs.

It's the worst defense since after Pete's first year, but we're only half way through the season.

We still manage to do a decent job with our 3-7 picks, but our utilization of our #1-#2 picks has been anywhere from unproductive to downright awful.

I am watching the Niners dismantle the Panthers and see no way the hawks can compete with them, at least at this stage

It'll be tough, but the Seahawks seem to always play up or down to our competition, so I wouldn't count us out yet. Russell has one of the best all-time records on MNF, too. Loves the spotlight, but if we can't stop Kittle and their aggressive pass rush, we won't win.

I think it’s kind of cool that Norton is a Gus Bradley disciple......

Flat out scary Upper, the Panthers are a good FB team and they got taken apart today. I agree.

Yeah its way too early to talk about getting a new young better coach RD, but the days of defending PC are over. His drafts have horrible.

I'd be ok if Pete and John went back to their original philosophy instead of making these reaches and trading for guys they don't keep.

I'm not going to defend Pete's past 5-6 drafts as they have been weak particularly at the top of the draft, but we're in the 2nd year of a major rebuild and at the halfway mark, we're 6-2. Granted, our first half schedule is a lot easier than the 2nd half, but until we actually start losing games, I'm not jumping off the bandwagon. Even considering their drafts, IMO Pete and John are still in the top 10 of HC/GM combos.

True. Look at the Rams, they already fell off quite a bit after a few years. Pete kept us in the playoffs 7 of 9 years with two Super Bowl appearances. But I do hope they go back to their old way of building the team with tons of cheap talent they turn into diamonds, especially on defense.

Its a win. And lets face it. Schaub was good, real good and throwing to an all world receiver as well. His line was just holdiong enough and blocking in the back enough to give him time as well, but he was flat out on it. Seattle also clearly came out flat after a 24-0 lead on a bad team. Its a win on the road against a desperate team with some offensive weapons.

As for recent drafts how about Marquis Blair? Led the team with 9 tackles, some of the hard hitting variety, all over the field. hes also very good in pass coverage. Hes baby Earl. If the dude stays healthy watch out. That's 2 consecutive starts and he's looked good both times.

No doubt, Blair has played well and the future looks bright for him, and Metcalf is looking good. But what's going on with Collier? And of course, Penny hasn't done much to justify his #27 overall pick to the point where he's rumored to be on the trading block.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like we have just as good of a chance of hitting in Rounds 3-7 as we do 1-2.

We went to that prevent defense keep everything in front of you too soon. When you see our CBs running away from the LOS before the snap, get ready, we're about to let the other team back into the game.
