Our opinions as to his being a better QB than those already in don't count for much. You know as well as I do that there's a lot of politics that go into those selections. Terrell Owens should have been a first ballot HOF'er if not for the controversies surrounding him.

And nearly everyone, including Yours Truly, recognizes that the quarterback is unique as it's the most influential on the field, especially in today's game, and good quarterbacks and good teams usually go hand-in-hand, meaning that it's extremely rare for a QB from bad teams doesn't make it. I do think Russell meets that criteria as he's already been to two SB's and his teams almost always make the playoffs.

His entire career is an anomaly. He'll enter the Hall as an anomaly no one can really explain and no one will match for some time.

Bunch of people thinking Kyler Murray the next Russell. Russell is as unique as they come and his unique qualities are why he made it at his height.

True again, but I don't think that attribute will add a lot to his resume, at least not like what race added to Moon's or Namath's role in the first competitive Super Bowl/league merger was to his.

If Wilson was like 6-5 or even 6-3 he may be able to match some of the stuff Rodgers does

LOL. Check Russes stats vs Rodgers in the biggest games OK. Look Rodgers is a great, a HOF QB. #1 ranked passer rating of all time. But who is #2? right?Dangerruss    And Rodgers has played on loaded teams with marquee receivers and good offensive lines while Russ plays behind the worst line in the league most years.

Russ does just fine at 5-11, so completely outplayed Goff despite being pressured all night while Goff was operating from a surgically clean pocket and was still good for 1 TD and 1 pick and folds at the first sign of pressure while Russ thrives on it. I saw where someone, RD I think said the catch and throw with Lock was mostly Locketts footwork and luck by Russ as he was just trying to throw the ball away. I disagree and so does Rocket who said after the game "Russ does that in practice all the time"

The man has completed 73% of his passes, about 10% above the statistical probability considering the typical lack of separation by his receivers. He should be the leader for MVP right now.

I love Pat Mahomes but I got so tired of hearing the announcers last night ,particular Collinsworth riding his jock talking about how he does things nobody can do, then qualifying it to include guys like Favre, Rodgers etc.I dont know how many times Wilson has spun out the back or eluded a rush and thrown a perfect ball across his body running full speed to his left while Mahomes was praised for throwing a low fastball to a guy on his knees wide open in the endzone going to his right.Russ throws across his body better than any man I've ever seen. Hes possibly the greatest dual threat QB of all time at this stage in his career.

Wilson was not mentioned one time in a 3 hour broadcast where a limping Mahomes put up a whopping 10 points. It gets old as Hawks fan watching greatness and seemingly much of the league just prefers to hate on Russ. Its oK I think he just uses it as motivation. Cant believe the people who said trade him dont pay him. If anyone on this team is earning their dough and then some its Russ.
