I see a spy vs spy factor with two short mobile QBs with robust arms matching up. My guess is Murray looks up to Wilson and should be thankful as Russ made it possible for him to be a #1 pick. Az always provides a challenge for Seattle , as a cigar thoughts article last year said they “ turn all football to total s***”. I don’t feel bad about the game and hope last week losing to an inferior team by making virtually every mistake imaginable they will sharpen their focus and get to 3-1. I’m going with 31 24 HAWKS!!!!!!!!

I will say one less than bright spot this year and last Sunday is DKs hands. They are stone. Even on the TD catch a couple weeks ago he was bobbling it and almost went out of the endzone before securing it. He should have squeezed that first ball in his hands for a TD last week and it cost seattle 4 points that might need another week.I hope he's not another Darryl Turner, great wheels, big body and terrible inconsistent hands.

Regarding DK, RW has to place the ball better so that DK can take advantage of his height over the defenders. He should not be catching balls below the waist and probably shouldn't be catching them below the shoulder pads except when he's wide open.

Or the fact he hasn't missed a game in seven years, going on eight. While performing at a top 5 level in several areas and top 10 across the board.
Unbelievable you can bag on Russ for small, dumb things, but overlook immensely idiotic blunders or make excuse after excuse for others performing less well.
idhawkman wrote:That's actually not true. I've complimented him a number of times. I just don't let obvious things go when he's the highest paid guy in the league and to many in here, he's elite. I think he has the potential and this year he is showing that he can be elite. I'd just like to see him start placing the ball better for Metcalf where only he can catch it. Metcalf is tall and strong and when he's being contested the ball should be above his shoulders which in many cases puts the DB's arms above their heads and in weaker position.

I cannot recall you ever complimenting him. Maybe it's just that you criticize him far more.

idhawkman wrote:That is true, I do criticize him more and I am more critical of him than other players but that is because I have high expectations for him and maybe not so high for lesser players.
That said, I posted in the disaster thread that I though today was the closest thing I've seen any QB let alone RW to a perfect game.
.... dare I say it????? Today RW was ellllllllll - nope, can't quite say it yet. Maybe tomorrow.![]()

Naw, I will say it after all, today he was elite.
RiverDog wrote:Russell's been elite ALL SEASON. He has yet to throw an interception and has a passer rating of 124.7, tops in the league by a long shot. Plus he's not taking stupid, Bret Favre-like risks by taking 10+ yard sacks. He's not putting us behind the sticks like he has in years past. He's made good decisions, run when he has to, and his accuracy for the most part has been spot-on.
It's only 6 games, but this is by far the best start any Seahawk quarterback has had in franchise history. 4 of our 5 wins have been by 4 points or less, and personally I attribute winning close games as a direct function of good QB play.
