I can see it now. Next Spring it'll be Paxton starting for the Seattle Dragons of the XFL...

I think Mingo is on the team and Shaquem is not.

Fant and / or Jones may end up on IR.

Dickson, agreed - he's out

I hope JD makes it over Procise --

Draft pick WR Jennings, the word is he's not going to make it. Maybe to PS? Coach wants the potential of the 'twin mountains' of DK and Jazz -

Nice to see you again, Sis.

Prosise did look good in his last outing, but I don't think it's enough to keep the training room wonder on the final 53. I also don't think 'quem will make it. I also agree with you that we'll see some sort of a trade or pickup between now and opening day, but not convinced that it will be Clowney.

I think I agree a lot with Sis's evaluation, but the wild card is the DL.
They may or may not add Clowney, but if they don't, they might trade with Dallas for one of their DL like
maybe Taco Charlton or the player he's competing against. There are a few other teams that have some
DL battles that we might trade with as well, but I think it's safe to say we won't head into the season
with the current players at DL.

Shaquem might make it just because of his ST play. Pete put an emphasis on it as well as speed, and he
fits both those needs. We also never got to see him play Rush End like he did in College. Maybe they see some promise.

I like it Sis, but I think if Clowney is in Penny is out ... I think that's the trade that'll happen. I also think Jazz makes the team at the expense of either Jenning or Ursua (probably the latter).

First; hi my guys! I’ve missed you.

The big questions, as I see them:
Quem
. I’d agree that he was a bubble guy heading in to TC. And I’d guess they keep Mingo (the ST machine) over him. It’s just tough for ME to cut him. I e had some leg issues and wanted to avoid workouts, but he inspired me. And l loved his 1st play of the pre-season where he knocked the ball out of the returners hands. I agree he may well be gone, but he’s a great teamer and fast as hell, so maybe? I also think they find a way to keep Barkeviovs. Maybe we go 9 OL and keep Mingo over Roos?? Miingo’s to small to be the edge rush we need, but also a bit of a Swiss Army knife. I really like him and Quem both. What’s surprising is BBK didn’t make more of a push.

Trades and/or picking through the glut of talent on the market Saturday are likely. Makes it tough to know. I’ve heard the Texans want Britt. Eff that, IMHO. One word: Unger. If we did get Clowney, we’d have an awesome front 7 making the weaker 2ndary better. But who knows, I added him for fun.

Procise. We’ve kept him three years on his upside that he’s shown in exactly 2 games. I don’t know how you keep him, it just feels like Pete will.

WRs - I think Jazz is this years’ Kasen Williams. Lots of size, speed and potential, but he didn’t elevate when he played with Russ. That Denver game seemed pretty damned fantastic and then not so much.I’d bet he makes the practice squad. Ursua, IMHO, is SO valuable and by mid-season will be making us 12s proud. He’s Baldwin/Eddleman. I don’t know how injured Moore is. Jazz or Malik could step in if he can’t go. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kenny Stills or another st here this time next week.

After last night, I think you can scratch 'quem and add BBK. 12 tackles including 2 for a loss and a QB sack is petty hard to ignore even in a preseason game.

Bob, No way I give up Penny for a 1 year rental on Clowney; Procise, would be fine, and even a 1st rounder.

So am I understanding you correctly, Obi? You'd rather give up a first round pick than you would Penny?

I think Quem will be injured reserve with that knee Pete says isn't healing right.

Yes River, because (NO racism intended) but giving a first rounder to PC is like giving a monkey a football, he just rolls around with it a while and then fumbles it.

Keep in mind that we've traded away our #1 pick, or at least traded down for more, lower picks, almost as often as we've made a selection with it.

When you're contemplating a potential trade like this, you have to look at any draft pick as an asset and weigh it against the perceived value of specific players. Outside of Russell and Bobby, there's not a lot of players on our roster that would fetch a #1, and I can't think of a non starter on any roster in the league that a team would trade their #1 pick for, and certainly not for Rashaad Penny.

Paxton Lynch cut, Geno named #2. As expected.

Clowney just informed the Texans he doesn't want to play for Miami... and they can't 'trade him' as he hasn't signed his contract yet, so the market is still wide open.

I also saw what was reported as the Dolphins 'offer' INCLUDED a demand for a #1 from Houston + Clowney for Laramy Tunsil, so that shows he doesn't have the value right now. Seahawks, if they do trade for him should get him for Penny or a mid-draft pick.

The real question is do we need or want the 15 million man?
