That's more than likely the reason. We're still 5 full weeks away from the season opener. No need to get alarmed at unspecified injuries.

Great. Wagner hurt, out indefinitely, and having platelet rich treatment usually meaning joint or ligament treatment since those areas have low blood flow for healing.

Wagner's procedure is not expected to affect his availability for the regular season and is likely to play in the preseason.

Ed Dixon may need knee surgery, and it could keep him out 4-5 weeks. DK Metcalf wasn't in pad yesterday, nursing an oblique strain and other "unspecified injuries", but is expected to play in Thursday's preseason game vs. Denver.

Looks like a few bumps and bruises, but only Ziggy, as a starter is questionable for the opener along with Fant. Considering that every day players from all teams get hurt and some very serious (see: 49ers this week) we seem to be skating along toward the start of the season.

Nothing about Bobby, but his issue was a transfusion to his knee -- seems to be a standard part of 'veteran' treatments and he should be back for the 3rd Preseason game.

You have to keep in mind that Pete's the eternal optimist, particularly when it comes to injuries. It will be a miracle of all those guys are healthy come September.

I have to wonder, how many of them would be held out of a game if the games were not preseason? I imagine if this was a regular season game, that Fant, Ziggy and Bobby would all be on the field starting (well, maybe not Fant starting) the game.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bobby doesn't start until opening day, don't want to rush him into a preseason game without being in game shape/game mode.

Can't answer your question on Madden, I don't play and never have. I've seen it played once for about 5 minutes.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bobby doesn't start until opening day, don't want to rush him into a preseason game without being in game shape/game mode.

Unless he's physically unable to play, I think it would be unwise not to get Bobby at least some work in a preseason game, especially given that he's the quarterback of the defense.

David Moore is out for at least the first week of the regular season with a shoulder injury:

That narrows down the field in a crowded WR position battle, but it leaves us with just two WR's (Lockett and Brown) with any kind of game experience. That factor could be huge, as the QB and WR have to be on the same page or as we saw with Shead's interception in the Vikings game last week, it could easily lead to a pick 6.
