I obviously don't see any problem with it unless it became a distraction. I suppose it would probably be a good morale booster and I'm sure the players would be receptive, but I'm doubtful that there would be any lasting, long term benefit.

Your response RIver tells me why the Mariners I hear are in last place or second to last place each season. No imagination no thinking outside of the box, and certainly nothing even close to the uniqueness of JS and PC.

What a pity. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised to see some Mariner fans have more respect for the Rangers than for their own TEAM!!! :o

I specifically said I wasn't against it. I wasn't refusing to "think outside the box", I'm simply stating that I'm dubious of any long term benefit. If I were a Mariners exec and somebody brought me a proposal like that to me, I would approve it despite not being very enthusiastic about it.
