With the Defense now really needing an upgrade with the pass rush, it wouldn't be surprising if they wanted to make sure they hit on their selections and maybe think about getting a player who had better college stats when pressuring the QB.
I agree. We're once again viewing ourselves as a team that's a player or two away from SB contention (that wasn't the case last season) so selecting a player that can make an immediate impact makes a ton of sense. I doubt if you see us burning early draft choices on 'project' players.
