Interesting, in your opinion a real QB kills a drive with poor decision making, and poor execution at the end of it?

There's a reason you don't see that at any point other than the end of games in desperation mode. That's it.

Poor decision to run, once running, poor decision not to work to the sideline, once refusing to work to sideline, poor decision to pitch the football FORWARD , and no, Vannett would not "still be running" as he had approximately two yards down the sideline with which to work.

( and ALL of that ignores that had the forward pass bounced wrong it could have meant 7 for the other guys. )
