His teams were a lot of fun to watch.
It’s in part why I abandoned my previous favorite team and fell in love with the Seahawks.
Thanks Jack. You done good and will always be the guy who lit the torch for the rest of us to carry.

It’s been a tough couple of years what with Tez, Coach Knox, Paul Allen, and now coach Patera leaving us.

Oh, chit! I hadn't heard that until just now. First Paul Allen, now Jack Patera. Another cherished family member has left us.

But Jack was extremely conservative, a defensive minded coach, but he had the good sense to delegate his authority and gave a lot of latitude to his offensive coaches, which included Jerry Rhome, who was responsible for bringing in Steve Largent.

Patera didn't draft Largent, he got him in a trade with Houston, and as I noted, it was precipitated by one of his assistants, Jerry Rhome.

Yea, that was an iconic moment from the expansion Seahawks. MNF was huge back then, and it was a thrill just to be playing on Prime Time, let alone winning the game.

But to be honest, Patera had some unconventional methods that seems Neanderthal-like by today's standards. Steve Raible said that Patera had a team rule that prohibited fraternizing with "the enemy", and would punish players that showed any kind of friendship towards rival players. He also denied water breaks to players during the hot Cheney summer training camps. I played football in both high school and college during that time period, and all of my coaches encouraged us to take frequent water breaks, some including a variant of GatorAid.

Our franchises first coach. I was there that first year back
when. Been watching ever since. My neighbor Bob retired and nothing makes him miss one game . Hawk fans til we go too.

Pete Carroll is running around like in his first year. JS too can't wait to see who we get next year. Penny is fantastic so far. Maybe it will be a stellar LB. Maybe not just have to wait on it. On pet peeve I have is the way the RB runs

Down the field he goes without a care but basically gets no where even if he is in free space ,sometimes it's just because he never goes straight up and is worried about cutting up , therefore goes down. Another one I am shocked to see the ball on the 40 all the time, and our team not take advantage of it.

I will always love football here like we have in America still speaking English talking about the Seahawks. Til I die me and my future wife we are and will be Seahawks fans of the baby blue. My Hawks in Seahawks heaven and he'll for that matter all places God created.

Jack will always be remembered as the first coach we had. Pete Carroll the first Superbowl win we had I wish Pete could go on forever his era anyway.

To all my fans in far away countries and my neighbor Bob what do we think about a clear conscience a pure heart brings. Nuts and Brazil nuts too you can see a light. You I know you too. Alna and Marshall. Bob who is back up there where you are safe with me and my future son in law and I am so full of life. We Have a great lifetime achievement award it's our football team even in the office season Lord Jesus Christ is always there. Taking care of all our addictions I mean all of them. Jesus died on the cross to show the way. The cross is her way of enlightenment. I Like her very much. Mary , Ruth , John . All common names today and 2000 years ago times change not too many Miriams now.

Everyone has a time to go home soon to recover or it may be time for them. Oregon state on the west coast. All root everybody can root just make your intentions true anyway you know how too.

You don't have to do anything. We Are in the mind of God you know , He is God. We Are not, you are yourself, not him. I Like Him a lot don't you ? I'm a little ant compared to him. Rubbing you the wrong way ? God already knows.
He created you he knows what is in a person , One he died for. Everyone even your neighbor and his many daughter's.

Why did he have to die so happy at only 85 I don't know do you. I bet he sees his family again and will know love
