Lynch DUI Dropped

Just came across on the ESPN updates. Pleads guilty to reckless driving 2, DUI charges dropped. Not sure what this means via league's policy, but I guess it is just a fine and nothing else for Lynch on the legal front.

Not surprising. From what I understand, Lynch blew at or just barely above the limit, and unless there were extenuating circumstances like a wreck, a judge/jury was unlikely to convict him.
Since he was not convicted of a drug or alcohol related crime, I don't believe that the league will do anything as he is not in violation of the substance abuse policy. All it is now is a traffic violation. Unlike marijuana use, the league does not restrict players from using alcohol.
Just my opinion, by the way.

In any event a downgrading of charges is a good thing.
I hope he has learned something from this.
