Trade for Brett Hundley

Postby NorthHawk » Wed Aug 29, 2018 8:08 am

Apparently we traded an undisclosed 2019 draft pick for Hundley from the packers.
I guess this settles the backup QB concern.

Edit:
6th round pick.

I guess we didn't want to wait to see if they were going to cut him ... he's not quite Clipboard Jesus but he's better than our current back ups.

Since 2010 we must have more trades and deals with GB than any other team. We must be there farm squad and visa versa

A lot of our players end up in the NFC North. GB, Detroit and Minny. Not so much the Bears.

This trade makes me wonder if there wasn't some interest in Brisette as the prior rumor stated.
It might not have been a 2nd round pick, but maybe some conversations did occur.

He does have starting experience, but one has to qualify that by noting that it was a pretty bad experience...9 TD passes and 12 INT's. But as Cbob stated, he's better than the training camp fodder we currently have as Russell's backups.

CB, The biggest mistake I made on this or the old site, is thinking that CBJ would be a good QB. Must have had too much Cabernet.

I am not sure how much better Brett Hundley will be compared to Luke Falk. We could've saved a 6th rounder. Luke has more upside than Hundley. We don't have a 2nd or a 6th next year.
