It's a bit of a strange hire. Sark has an extensive college resume, but he hasn't coached at the NFL level very much (one year as the Raiders QB coach). I wonder if Sark and Gwinn crossed paths when both were in Seattle.

It makes me wonder if Quinn is going to concentrate on Defense more and wants to be a little more conservative on Offense.
Sark, when OC for PC at USC ran Pete's offensive philosophy. Quinn saw the success in Seattle with that and their Offense can control the ball more which would have helped on Sunday.
They also have the talent to be explosive which is a big part of the Seahawks Offensive philosophy.

Its likely the Carroll angle as much as anything. People who have been throwing shade at Sark's coaching job in the National Championship need to remember that Saban picked a running back with a strong inaccurate arm to play quarterback.
My concern would be how Sark responds to the NFL pressure and whether he winds up back on the sauce.

As usual, that's a very insightful observation. Let's revisit this subject about 9 months from now.
