Congrats on a Great Season Mr. Clark

There were also many concerns about Frank Clark when he was drafted. If you heard about his challenging upbringing (Homelessness, Brothers in Gangs - not seeing mother for many years and never knowing his father) - it is amazing to see the kind of player, man and teammate he has become. I love what I see on His twitter feed and how "Smart" he played over the final games of this season.

I'll second this, kid's been a great addition to the team.

I, like most of us had reservations about drafting someone with DV issues but there were enough mitigating factors (his and the prosecutor's insistence that he never actually hit her, the thoroughness of the team's investigation, etc.) that I finally decided that I probably didn't know enough not to give him a chance to prove himself.

So far so good.

He's really stepped up his game and he might get even better so he as been a good pick so far.
I wonder if they might take a flyer on Joe Mixon if he's still on the board in the 7th. He might have the most upside of any RB outside of Fournette but has huge DV baggage.

I never had an issue with us drafting Clark. What I didn't like was how our front office handled it. I thought we did a horrible job investigating his DV incident and John Schneider gave us a line of pure BS to rationalize the pick. I lost a lot of respect for Schneider during that period of time.

But that's all water under the bridge. As far as I know, Frank Clark is a good citizen and worthy teammate as I have heard nothing to the contrary. He's a solid player and a critical component of our front 7 and another great job of identifying talent in the draft. I just wish we had the same foresight with offensive linemen as we do with defensive players.

I think we ask a bit much of our athletes these days. Clark was never convicted of a crime and by all accounts had been bitten on the nose by his girlfriend prior to physically removing her from his body .

The pick was brilliant by Js and the kid was great this year. I only wish he and the entire front 7 had been better last Saturday. But I'm excited for next year.

That wasn't the point. Schneider told us that the team did a thorough investigation into the DV incident that led to his being kicked off the Michigan team when in reality, all they did was to talk to Clark's counselor. They did not speak with the DA, the arresting officer, any of the witnesses, or anyone at UM regarding the incident. All they did was speak to one person, heard what they wanted to hear, and left it at that.

Oh well....
New England paid 40 million to a straight up Blood gangster who everyone was aware had serious issues. Turns out he had already killed two people, shot another man in the head, and was months from killing another.
Belichick was well aware of this guys lifestyle and was personally counselling him along with neutering the Pats security detail so they couldn't keep an eye on his players.
His latest move is signing a guy who was dead drunk behind the wheel passed out a month ago.How many lombardies now?

These are big rough tough men. I don't care what Schneider said to however to be able to justify stealing a guy who will be a fixture in the pro bowl.Small potatoes.

It wasn't about football. It was about Schneider's not being honest with us.

Oh well. The incoming POTUS tells the truth 17% of the time according to politifact. What matters more?
Im cool with Schneider. Unless its a truly bad actor I want the best player, not a choirboy.
No thanks on a return to the Ruskell era. You go JS!!!! find the hidden gems.

I think we are lucky to have Clark, and he is lucky the Hawks took a chance on him. He's so talented, has a great NFL body (strong, quick, fast) and looked very determined this year - he's learning from the best in Avril and Bennett. Future all star no doubt.
