GB vs. NY

Some observations on the snippets of the game I was able to watch:

1. Hot damn, that GB offensive line can pass protect. The Dallas pass rush is middle of the pack (although they're top 10 in overall passing yards allowed), and if they can't get more pressure on Rodgers than NY did, then GB is going to win that game. Hell, after last night, I think GB might be the favorite to come out of the NFC.

2. Ok, that said, it's a different game if Beckham played like Beckham. What happened to his hands? I don't think the Miami trip had anything to do with it. Maybe his emotions? Whatever it was, the Giants didn't have enough depth to weather their superstar laying an egg.

3. You know that if Wilson had thrown that Hail Mary and Baldwin caught it for the TD, all the talk would be about how the Cheathawks got away with a clear OPI push-off to catch that ball and that the refs gave Seattle the win. But when it's Aaron "Jesus" Rodgers, it's just another piece of evidence for his holiness.

Yup. Some of that is Rodgers' movement in the pocket- he's a master at moving up then back then side to side and so on- but even with that, he had nearly *nine* seconds in a clean pocket on his first TD pass.

I agree with both observations.I said in real time exactly what was said in 2012 abiout the Golden Hail Mary, obvious penalty, incompetent refs etc vs the commentators spooning the great Arod.
But yes hes a master at moving arouond to throw without running himself into a sack which really helps his line. They are a little grabby too...

Now that I know five sacks and 19 hits on the QB is great pass blocking, along with about five or six blatant holding calls not made, I'll have a better barometer moving forward of what constitutes great pass blocking in Seattle.

ROFLMAO. I didn't exactly remember Rodgers kept all that clean in the first half myself. He had 30 yards of loss on one drive due to sacks . Second half was different . The Giants dominated the first 25 minutes . Unfortunately for them their offense looked like a first half Seattle offense. Second half the lid blew off for arod .Points equal momentum and the Giants blew their chance.bye bye.

It seems like equal amounts of good pass pro, and Rodgers slinkiness. He, Brady, and Ben, have perfected the art of sliding in the pocket to buy time. Russell hasn't shown that particular ability; he's more of a spin out guy, but teams have figured that out for the most part. Russell needs to learn from Rodgers.

Ah, it seems that the snippets I saw (all second half) weren't typical of the game. But still, what I saw was great pass pro (helped by Rodgers' movement in the pocket, of course).
