EmeraldBullet wrote:Wow, didn't realize his line was that good. The sacks and hits are frustrating though. He needs to learn to throw the ball away on some occasions.
HumanCockroach wrote:Oh for Chrissake RD, at least half those hits were Wilson either running into pressure, or holding the ball far longer than needed. Here's a tip. If the defense brings 7 or 8, and you have 5 blockers, with 4 or 5 wide SOMEBODIES open, great QBs FIND them.
I could give a flying frock about fantasy numbers, stats or any other stupidity, I have so many times defended Wilson with a pedestrian 200 yards with 2 or 1 TD I can't even count. I could care less whether Wilson puts up numbers, I care about one thing and one thing only, wins. Sorry if that's not your priority, it is mine. Hence, leaving first downs on the field, TDs on the field, being responsible for a fumble that no one else but Wilson was running the play he thought was being run, holding the ball, running into hits and sacks, and st
inking up the field for three and a half quarters before leading a furious comeback in the end DOESN'T get a pass from me. You're welcome to that, I don't. I don't give Luck a pass, why the Duck would I give one to a QB that's missed horribly ALL season on wide open receivers?
Did you hear me saying ANYTHING about his problems with the deep ball last year? The year before? The year before that? Weird, no?
Truth is Wilson has had the ability to DELIVER those balls on time and accurately, but hasn't. Whether you want to blame the line for it or not, matters less than not at all to me. I don't waste time making excuses, those are throws he HAS to make, period.

Yes Rw missed a few throws, as did Palmer, as did Rogers today and when we played them as did Brady and every other elite QB in the league, None of them make them all, however for some reason you seem to think he should. The reality is the facts clearly shows he played a very good game today, and of course your stand by is always I don't care what the stats show, which is another way of saying yeah I am wrong but I refuse to man up and admit it, so I am just going to pull a Jacknut. We did not loose the game because of Rw, and that is a fact and it obviously burns you because you want so much to blame it all on him. In fact if you opened your eyes you would have seen he was the only offensive reason we were in the game. Since I know nothing I am saying will matter to you, because well to be honest you just want to blame Rw no matter what, I am wasting my time. For what its worth I shared your rants on a few other boards, they think you not even a real fan, but a troll. Some think you bat sh!t crazy to think Wilson did not play well today. I don't I just think you have succumbed to jacknut disease. let review though
29/45 64% 350 yards, 4 tds 0 int QB rating 117.8 and 35 yards rushing. All while being hit, hurried, pressured or sacked on over 75% of his drop backs in the 1st half. That said he still set us up to win but for a missed extra point and really poor defense. Hmm Yeah I can think of 31 other teams who would take that from their QB. Especially behind this putrid oline. But hey why let the facts get in the way of your Jacknut moment or moments since this has been your stance pretty much all year.
Have a happy holiday!!

Anthony, don't pretend that it was just one lone poster that caused you to turn your tail and run to the security of a highly trafficked forum where your obsession over Russell Wilson is less obvious. I know of no one anywhere in this universe that said Russell had ZERO responsibility for the pick in SB 49. If anyone is bat sh!t crazy, it's you for making such an ignorant claim like that. And HC is a very well respected poster and die hard Seahawk fan and although he's the first one to admit that he can be pretty abrasive and argumentative at times, he always has rational arguments, is an educated fan, and a very good debater. You couldn't take the heat so you left.
But for what it's worth, on this particular occasion, I agree with you about Russell. He was not at the top of his game today and as the most influential player on the field, he has to take his share of the responsibility, but even still, his play was not the primary reason why we lost this game. The offensive line, special teams, and the defense all have a much bigger cross to bear than Russell does.
But welcome back, anyway....And Merry Christmas to you!
Admit it. This offensive line is not vastly improved. It's marginally better at best, and that statement only looks halfway good because you're comparing it to last season's OL, which was undeniably horridly

You guys wanted a troll, and there you go. It's a Christmas miracle.
On a personal note.... Oh no, some one on some random site thinks I'm not a "real" fan? Whatever shall I do? Oh me oh my, I suppose life isn't worth living any longer, Anthony doesn't like what I post? Better get on that hotline for moral support, I mean the good Lord knows I strive only to be accepted and loved by someone with Wilson's jock over his face... I just want to be loved.... Sniff, sniff...
Get a grip gnat, I was ignoring you when you left, I can ignore you again, and I don't give two turtle farts if you call me jacknut a million times, share my posts with thousands of other "real" fans or insult me repeatedly.... Truth is, Lions simply don't concern themselves with the opinions of sheep, and you my jock sniffing, Wilson manhood gobbling friend are most definitely a sheep..

Welcome Back Anthony - You were missed - Merry Christmas.
About HC however you couldn't be more wrong - he is a great fan and arguably the most knowledgeable about the NFL poster on this board.
And Russell Wilson has been quite inconsistent this season. But by anybody QB standards and considering his injuries - still very good. However his play is not good enough for the Seahawks to win a Super Bowl - he has to play much better. I wonder if both his brand empire building and his diva wife is taking up too much of his mental energy?
1) that isn't going to happen because it isn't true, if we aren't comparing it to last year's line, what the hell are we going to compare it to?
2) you and many others WANTED better pass protection, well, you GOT it, and now you don't like it? Sorry and sh#t but that's the way it goes.
3) the continued lamenting about the $$$'s spent is ignorant at best, and downright stupid at worst. Truth is, you do NOT build a line through free agency, it doesn't work that way, and ANYONE that understands even a little bit about team building KNOWS that. Truth is there is NEVER a glut of quality lineman on the market, the ONLY way to build and improve a line is through drafting and developing said line. You can supplement with a free agent occasionally, but build one? No.
4) that "horrid" line from last year, was a line that had three of five starters from a SB team, players most here continue to Pine for to this day. Why? Because as I seem to have to do repeatedly, those players were pretty damn good when they were HERE despite these same types of arguments. I will say this again, just like I did last year, and the year before, AND the year before, these lineman are NFL starting caliber players, AND in three or four years you will all be lamenting then leaving and being overpaid for another team ( just like Carpenter, Sweezy, Guacomini and Okung) it's what you guys do.

Talk About the teflon man. The loss is as much on him as anyone. Its a far different mentality on both sides of the ball if its FG or enjoy your plane ride on O and defend the win if your seattle on D.
And if he doesn't chunk his pathetically low FG kick that barely cleared the lineman's helmets before being swatted away its TD or go home in spite of everything else and it would have been hail mary time. The way the game went it probably would have worked anyway.. Granted the sack on 3rd down made it 45 instead of 35.
Last but not least the man hooked a NINETEEN yard FG in AZ or the Hawks are still in the 2 hole. It scares the crap out of me every time he lines up anymore. Hes making 3 million bucks a season for this????
