The best ever

After Thursday nights utter beatdown of the 2-0 Texans by the Pats there can be no doubt. As much as I hate to admit it Bill Belichick is the best damn coach in the history of the NFL. It is truly amazing...
That is all.

Extremely well prepared.
Their OL has improved with Dante Scarnecchia returning as the coach. He must be exceptional considering they weren't nearly as good last year.
Watt, Wilfork, and Clowney were nearly invisible last night and their RBs had room to run not to mention giving time for Brissett to throw.
There was a comment about their Defense being real fast now. I suspect that was influenced by the success of the Seahawks and the emphasis on speed here.

As traumatic as it is to remember the end of 49 it was revealed post game that Belichick was riding Butler all week making him practice defending the play Seattle wound up running, coaching that his only chance to defend it was to get over the top. Butler said he never accomplished it in practice but......

You can hate him and still give him his due.

But how about Brady? Was he the best ever or was he the luckiest ever to be coached by a guy who was always one step ahead of everyone else? Who has won with every guy he's had behind center his whole career in NE?

I'm not the only one asking that question this morning BTW.

IF he would have done it with several qB's like Shula, Ok I would say he was the best. However the owner there is huge.. No doubt the whole team and org. are the model for the cap era.

According to PFT, Brissett suffered a torn ligament to his thumb in the 2nd half so Edelman might have to start at QB.
I'm sure they will find someone else, though with 10 days to prepare.

Tough to argue with any of this.

At this point, I think BB *could* play Edelman at QB and still hang 35 on half the teams in the league.

He's done it in an era of unprecedented parity. Lombardi, Landry, Noll, Paul Brown, et al never had to deal with free agency.
