Ticketmaster scaming?

Postby Kea » Thu Jan 16, 2014 10:34 pm

Anyone know ANYONE who got a ticket at a face value (+ticketmaster service charge) for the NO or SF game? Anyone? Just wondering. Supposedly a few tickets go on sale to the general public......BS false advertising!! Ticketmasters goal when seats are in short supply is NOT to allow the public to get tickets at face value. Much more profit when service charges can be applied to tickets are sold at 3 to 5 times original value. They claim brokers manipulated the system and got most the remaining tickets. Bet if an investigation were launched connetions between Ticketmaster and these "brokers" would be found.

Tickemaster sucks. remember the Pearl Jam tour in the early 90's when the band had to sue Ticketmaster to only charge $20 for tickets? Then even after losing their case they added a $4 "processing fee" even on tickets you waited in line at the box office for ...

There was also, as of Thursday 4,000 tickets available from the "secondary" market because there many Seahawk fans who bought tickets because they were season ticket holders and are now reselling them at a premium. They are making the same excuse as they made back for the XL SB that they have a "once" in a lifetime opportunity to make a lot of money that they just couldn't pass up. These people can say that they hope the tickets are being sold to Seahawk fans the reality is that they will sell to the highest bidder regardless.

I have often wondered, after seeing the stadium in Detroit filled overwhelmingly with Steeler fans if this time Seahawk fans would step up to the plate and show up in East Rutherford enmasse. One thing that needs to happen is that Paul Allen needs to change how they go about allotting tickets to season ticket holders. Unlike last time which was done on a pure lottery where a season ticket holder of two seasons was treated the same as people who had been with them from the start. I firmly believe that those season ticket holders who have been with the team the longest should get priority. Then, maybe the stadium won't be filled up with the other team's fans and one or two Seahawk fans.

I tried for tickets starting at 10 am for over a half hour on phone and two computers, no luck. I also know lots of people that did the same with no luck. I would like to know how many tickets were available to the general public. something's a little fishy here.

Probably just a handfull of tickets were available to the real public. Thats to cover ticketmasters ass so they can claim regular folks did indeed get a ticket Monday at 10am. The majority go to brokers "linked" to ticketmaster so they can be resold at higher prices for higher ticketmaster charges. Still yet to hear of anyone who got an initial sale ticket on Monday.

Pearl Jam tried to uncover their illegal practices, but failed. I b****, know somethings fishy, but follow the masses and buy the mareked up tickets (except for when my buds hook me up with their season ticks). Same as gas companies. They gouge us, have record profits, the public complains, congress does a public shaming off oil CEOs", mass media changes the subject, and the congressmen and oil CEOs go back to sipping champagne together. Ticketmaster's practices are protected since they fund a lot of politicians campaigns. "Legal" corruption.

I forget all about being ripped of once I'm celebrating in Centurylink. Go Hawks!!
