Hey folks,

So the landlord (web host) will be knocking on our door soon, anybody want to kick in a few bucks to help keep The Shack up and running?

As we hope all of you know, we’re not in it for the money – otherwise the site would be plastered with ads. Though we might add a small banner that links to the NFL Shop since we are still an affiliate, just to remind people that if you’re going to buy gear, start here. Same good stuff, we just get a 4% commission for the referral.

Just know that if we don’t reach our goal of $250,000 by kickoff tomorrow at 5:25PM, this will be converted into a 49ers forum and we'll be handing the keys to Future.

Really though, we know it’s hard times for a lot of people right now...so please don’t feel any pressure. This forum is here for you to enjoy. We are here because we love our team and we love this community...and it is a bit uncomfortable asking for donations. Maybe if we had a catchier title? How about the Fred Jackson Radiator Repair Fund?

But if you do have a few bucks to spare, it would be greatly appreciated. 10% of all donations will go toward buying a copy of “Your Offensive Line and You” which will be gift wrapped and sent to Bevell this Christmas.

Finally, thank you to each and every one of you that has donated in the past. You are so much appreciated.

How is C-Bob a bully? My problem over the years with c-bob is he is too much of a cheerleader. He is a smart, and decent guy but I always felt over the years that he has tended to support or gloss over the mistakes of previous regimes. I on the other hand, have been overly critical about every decision made, the truth probably laid somewhere in between. But calling C_bob a bully is like calling Mother Theresa mean, you come off looking stupid.

I'm not speaking for Savvy, but I got the impression that he was being sarcastic. :lol:

As evidenced by the fact that I have more posts in this forum than anyone else, I like this place because if it's smallness. I post over on several other sites, but they either don't have the football minds this one has or there is so much traffic that my comments tend to get washed away and I get the feeling that I'm talking to myself, but here, I almost always get a response.

Thank again, Yoder and Makena, for starting this forum in the first place and for keeping it running for the past several years!

Whew, weird game...eh? Regardless, here's to a much needed win!

We wanted to give a big THANK YOU for everyone's support, it truly is appreciated. Wouldn't be here without you guys/gal(s), you make this place what it is. You give the forum life, even through the off season.

Just a heads up - I will be doing some maintenance within the next couple of weeks. If I do it right, you shouldn't see any downtime or significant changes. If I do it WRONG, all hell breaks loose, the site crashes, people snag their bug out bags and start running for the hills. Really though, I've broken enough websites in my time to learn to backup everything beforehand...just so you always have something to revert to. I'll give you plenty of notice beforehand and make the changes during off-peak hours.

Anyway, thank you. All of you rock!

No worries, thanks for the bump Agent. Thanks to the folks pitching in, it is beyond appreciated. Like I've said before, if I wanted to monetize from this site there would be advertisements plastered all over the place. That's not the goal.
