Ron Clements, Sporting News said "The Seahawks have offered quarterback Russell Wilson a contract offer worth $21 million per year, according to Pro Football Talk."
"Word on the NFL grapevine is that the Seahawks have offered a package worth nearly $21 million per year, with significant guaranteed money. "
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20 ... -deadline/
So it has been posted were other media site said he was offered 4 years 87 mil which is way more than nearly 21 mil a year so seems as we have guessed no one has a clue what is really happening to include MH.
Add to that PFT said nearly 21 mil but Sporting news takes that and says worth 21 mil. Last I checked near 21 mil is not 21 mil
then add "The two sides have opted for silence regarding any discussions that are occurring. " but they then say "Whatever the current offer, Wilson, through agent Mark Rodgers, wants more." if the 2 sides have remained silent then how do they know what Wilson wants, Wait it must be the "NFL Grapevine" really, more like since we do not know lets make it up.

Anthony,
Give it to me....your gut feeling....does a deal get done by Thursday night? Or does RW3 play out the 2015 season without an extension?
Dude I wish I knew there is so much misinformation out there it is tough to know. I hope so, I truly do. Logic says it should as it makes to much sense of both sides. But logic may not be what rules the day here and without knowing what is really being offered I do not know.

I say it gets done, I have remained optimistic the entire time.
My guess is 5 years....$21.5 million a year....$107, 500 total....50% guaranteed ($53,750,000)
Of course I know nothing about contract negotiations, so my numbers might be completely wacked.
Fingers crossed it gets done by Thursday and it doesn't hamstring the team. Not sure if my numbers above would do that?
Agent 86 wrote:Where I looked, it said only $41 million (39.5%) of Newton's contract was guaranteed.
I went with 50% cause Aaron Rodgers contract had 49.1% guaranteed, the highest percentage among QB's making over $18 million a year.

MackStrongIsMyHero wrote:If that is the case, Russel Wilson isn't being slighted in the least. Man, sure would be nice to see this resolved.
obiken wrote:Right IF its true. Newton's salary should be the base, and they are being tight wads. The terrible IF's compound as Churchill said.

They've had their preliminary meetings and sent position sheets and put offers on the table, but none of that requires Rogers' actual presence. He's finally coming to town IMO to put a bow on it and have a press conference with all parties present.

One last try, if you wish.
Hawk Sista wrote:Last week I was in the "it won't get done" camp. This week, I have changed my position. 1.5 or 21.5 million? There is just NO way for RW to make up the gap in future earnings if he plays for 1.5 this year. That and the reality that injuries happen - I think he signs and we are all happy.......everyone except Mebane who is the casualty of Wilson and Wags signing their deals.
