And I believe that w/o him, we would not have gone to 2 SBs in a row... Not even 1 (w/ Flynn, t-jack, Tannehill etc). Up the ante and get this dealt with nowsap, please. There WILL BE bidders & suitors... the longer this drags on, the more it hurts the efforts moving forward. One can use the Joey Go-away season as exhibit A. Though vastly different in nature, the ramifications (though much smaller in scope) feel similar enough to me to want to get this done effen NOW.

I'll admit that I was embarrassingly naive and thought that RW would be a little more Brady-like. He could make an ish load of $$$$, be in the top 3 paid players in the league and not hurt us so much. I don't like Mark Rogers one bit, and I'm diggin RWs off season self less than at any point since his arrival. (God told him to date a pop star and lead her, God had the Hawks lose the SB so that the world could watch RWs reaction, go Hawks but I'm gonna put them and my coworkers in a giant bind that will lead to losing several key pieces etc.). His arrogance is astounding. At the very same time, his arrogance makes him the player he is & he's the ONE guy we simply CANNOT lose. Pay his greedy ass and let's be done with it.

ahh you know Brady was not Brady like in his first big contract right? it is easy to be brady like when its your 4th contract and you have made you money. Add to that we still do not know what he wants and what has been offered. As to Greedy well if you choose to believe the media machine sure, or maybe you can believe the other media machine were the Hawks will not guarantee more than 20 mi. I am not going to judge either Wilson or the Hawks till I know what the numbers are for a fact. All this media BS and some include out and out lies is starting to get old, but I do not blame Wilson alone. I blame Wilson, the Hawks, and the media and us fans for buying the media BS

San Diego/L.A. Chargers. RWs going to SoCal. That's been my prediction. He'll be there in 2016 or 2017.

And this isn't about being greedy. RW has connections down there, SD is going to be looking for a QB (they may have found him), and RW wants the money because he has dreams of owning an NFL team one day. You don't get there by sacrificing for the team today. Hope I'm wrong, and that he stays a Hawk ... but my gut is strong on this one. If the 30th comes and passes without a contract in place, I think we can begin to say goodbye to Russell.

Interesting, here I was thinking Holmgren evaluated, drafted or traded for the core of Seattle's first SB team, and won a slew of division titles. Guess I must have crediting him with assembling the talent to do that. Must have been the Flores/ Behring dream team. SMDH.[/quote]
Holmgren is obviously a fine coach but he was a poor talent evaluator. He inherited a HOF left Tackle. He traded Ahmann Green to the Pack for zero and drafted SA. Dumping Kitna for Hass was not a huge upgrade. Hass was a nice little QB but second tier. While SA was a very good back Jevon Kearse was still on the board. He cut ties with Sam Adams and Joey Galloway and drafted Kannibas Koren one eyed wonder with a first round pick.Lamar King too. He was a disaster in the draft . It wasn't until he was stripped of his duties in personnel matters and Ruskell drafter Hill and Tatupu as well as bringing in Joe Jurevicious that Seattle won a playoff game, IN HIS SEVENTH SEASON!!!! He is the 3rd best coach in our history behind Knox and obviously Pete Carroll. But he sucked as a talent evaluator and feasted off a historically bad division during his successful time here. Sorry its the truth.
