MINIMUM six game suspension? Eh, toss that out the window right NFL? Dude was CONVICTED in a court of law, appealed, bought the victim off, and faces a whole lot less than a guy who misses a couple tests while Not even in the league, the same amount as someone taking fertility pills, the same amount as a guy who drank while home, less than a guy who has never broken a rule, and though obscene, had a SINGLE instance, that I guess is "worse" despite, them staying together and getting married, counselling (etc, there's a LOT more cases).

This is ridiculous. So much for the "seriousness" with which the NFL is taking this.

Having a policy in place at the time of an incident will help prevent the reduction of larger suspensions (like Hardy's) in arbitration or by the courts.

"After consideration of all the record evidence and arguments, I conclude that the Commissioner acted within his authority and properly exercised his discretion in finding that Hardy violated the NFL Personal Conduct Policy," Henderson said in a statement.

"I find that the conduct of Hardy clearly violates the letter and spirit of any version of the PCP since its inception, and of the NFL Constitution and Bylaws long before then. The egregious conduct exhibited here is indefensible in the NFL. However, 10 games is simply too much, in my view, of an increase over prior cases without notice such as was done last year, when the 'baseline' for discipline in domestic violence or sexual assault cases was announced as a six-game suspension. Therefore, the discipline of Mr. Hardy hereby is modified to a suspension of four games; all other terms of the discipline letter remain in place."

Now they have there notice. This is a step in the right direction.

Hardy might get that 4 games whittled down to 2.
It looks like the Cowboys Defense might just take a big step forward if Hardy plays in 14 games.
