I'm officially dying for Saturday now.

Surprised he's returning kicks (and Clayton will beat Carroll up for it), but I guess if he's back he's back, so why not?

Yeah, this week of work has been pretty much pointless.
I'm nervous for Saturday.
On one hand, I don't see any way in h3ll the Saints can be 30 points better against us than they were last time.
On the other, I know it's more difficult to beat teams twice in a season, and additionally, we're at somewhat of a disadvantage (such as it is), in that they *know* they have to do something different, while we're in the position of having to react to that change.
Will it make enough of a difference? I doubt it, but when it's lose or go home, it doesn't make for a comfortable feeling for me.

30+ MPH winds, cold rain, crazy 12's. The Saints passing game is going to have a hard time doing much of anything, and that's before you even get to the Legion.

I'm still uneasy about the circumstances surrounding this whole episode, but that's all water under the bridge at this point. The important thing is that he's in the lineup with a chance to contribute. If all he does is take some pressure off of Tate and Baldwin it will be worth all the trauma we've gone through with him.
I was amazed that Luke Willson came back so quickly. Inflatable splint, hauled off on a cart and he returns in two weeks? I gotta find out what mineral springs he's swimming in.

But it is what it is. We gave up a kings ransom for the dude and he is apparently ready to go. He should be pretty fresh. I don't give a shat I just want a Lombardi.....

Lining him up at WR, even with a possible snap count in mind, is what interests me most. How are his routes, cuts, turns, etc.

Tell her birthdays come every year- this is Seahawks playoff football.
I'm sure she'll understand...

The NFL is never as simple as it seems, but it's hard for me to imagine that simply having Harvin run a post or a corner at full speed every pass play wouldn't suck two DBs off virtually every other route.
I guess we'll see.

If you're talking about Harvin's return against the Vikings, there was a hole big enough to drive a truck through. Harvin's return was a dead sprint. Impressive, but hardly unique amongst NFL return specialists.

One of the reasons that hole was so big was because of how fast Percy is. He didn't even give the coverage team time to get in their lanes.

Rob Ryan will have to put double coverage on Harvin and that will open it up for Baldwin, Tate, and Kearse not to mention the TE's. Yeah, and we even have Luke Wilson back. The only thing that can defeat the Hawks will be the Hawks themselves and I don't see that happening.

That's the whole problem for defenses having to account for Harvin. Even if he only gets a few passes thrown his way, his presence "tilts the field" and sets up other elements of our offense to function without the focus they have had, primarily teams stacking the box to stop Lynch. Go ahead, New Orleans - I DARE you to sell out to stop Lynch again. Please do that. We already saw a snippet of this in the Minnesota game. Several of those completions to Baldwin and Tate were completely about the defense paying so much attention to #11.
The other impact he can and likely will have is kck returns, although hopefully the Saints only have to kick off a few times. His open field ability shrinks the field, which helps our offense a great deal. Tate has been doing that all season with punt returns...there are several games where our offense was off sync and Tate had a big return that helped out a great deal, like the Tampa game for example.
Basically, Harvin coming back...even "rusty"... welcome to your nightmare, NFL.
