Harbaugh already cheating at Michigan

Postby mykc14 » Wed May 13, 2015 8:31 am

4 violations already. Actually this proves how stupid the NCAA can be about things, he donates signed stuff to an auction for suicide prevention and the proceeds go to a scholarship in the name of a student who committed suicide and he gets dinged with a minor infraction.

* Just to be clear I don't think he is cheating just joking around with the thread title.

Some of the NCAA rules look like they are pretty stupid and petty.
That's one institution that needs reform.

The thread title is very misleading. This stuff is really ticky tack, bordering on chicken chit.

Thats why I wrote, "just to be clear I don't think he's really cheating just joking around with the thread title" in my OP.

Ahh, sorry, mykc. I should read the entire post instead of just headline grabbing.

And the Huskies getting slammed by the NCAA because their H.C. participated in a NCAA Basketball Tournament betting pool not petty??? Come on, I think we have ALL played a betting pool at least once in our lives. There was no way any of the participants could affect the out come of any of the games which is why there is a ban on betting in the first place. But betting pools is way different than like what Pete Rose did, betting on his own team. Neuheisel is a football coach not a B.Ball coach with a team in the 64 team tournament. Now if Lorenzo Romar would have been, oh, wait, he first would have to get his team into the tournament in order to bet on his team...

J.H. is a scum bag and I expect he will cheat to gain any edge that he can and this is just the start. I mean, how can Hairball even look in the mirror at himself when he knows he got "run" out of the NFL by Pete Carroll. What's the deal Jim???

I don't disagree that JH is a d-bag but I wouldn't call him a cheater and He has proven to be a very good coach at both Stanford and Santa Clara. In fact I wouldn't really hesitate to call him an offense genius. The different formations he uses to give his guys perfect blocking angles is pretty impressive.

As I recall, Neuheisel's betting pool wasn't your usual office pool where everybody throws in $20 or so. They were betting thousands. Sure, it wasn't the same as Pete Rose betting on games his team was playing in, but Neuheisel was nevertheless an insider at the NCAA with access to information that the normal Joe Blow does not. It was unethical.

I agree with mykc. Harbaugh is bit of a terd, but he's not a cheat. I also wouldn't characterize his departure from the NFL as having got "run out" by Pete or anyone else. He had several opportunities to catch on with another team had he wanted to. IMO the Niners were fools to get rid of him. He had the best record of any head coach they've had since Walsh.
