Julius Thomas intends to sign with Jacksonville Jaguars

That's too bad - Thomas was the one Free Agent that Pete & John Really wanted to sign.

As a consolation prize we signed Carey Williams for the CB position.

I am ok with this. I have heard reports the Hawks were in on him, but he is the type of player I worry about. He put up big numbers in a pass-first offense with an extremely accurate QB. His TD production is undeniable, but he doesn't block well and benefitted from having very good receiving options around him.

I'm not sure Williams fell under the FA rules as he was cut and not just unsigned.
I believe any team can negotiate with a player in that situation without waiting for the official FA signing date.
