Seeing Simon get torched in the SB (just hated the way he played with slow hips and whined to the officials for OPI flags after each completion made on his side) and reading the injury report (Lane is having two MAJOR surgeries) make CB a priority this offseason - with or without Maxi. Without him, which is likely, it is even more highlighted in my mind.
I found Byron's firing of his agent curious. Could it be a good sign? Either way - CB has become a position of need for various reasons.
IMO it is a bad sign as far as re-signing with the Hawks goes. IMO it isn't a coincidence that the news about the Hawks interest in FA corners coincides with the announcement of him firing his agent. Also, he has compared his impending FA period to him being the pretties girl at the prom (I can't remember if he actually said that or I am making it up) and being excited about the opportunity to test the market. I know this could be lip service but IMO he is looking to get paid and probably will. I don't think he is a true #1 corner but I wouldn't be surprised to see him get 8-10 mil/year, and at that price I wish him luck wherever he goes.
