I still find it funny how you think you have added more to this thread than I have.
DR, all I am asking is that if you want to say I'm wrong about something, don't just say I'm wrong then sarcastically laugh at me. Show me where I am wrong. I don't think I said anything inflammatory that might have provoked such a sarcastic response. If I did, then I sincerely apologize. I have no interest in trash talking, especially with a fellow 12.
Thousands that have weighed in on this subject have used car tires as a comparison to footballs. I am hardly alone. Not many of us have a couple dozen footballs sitting around the house that we have to maintain, but we all have pneumatic tires we're familiar with, thus the analogy. Both tires and footballs are expandable, air tight containers and the behavior of the gasses they hold should react similarly. You mentioned the differences in weight that they support. That's a valid point, one that I tried to address but that you insisted on laughing at. I am not a scientist but I do have over 35 years experience in an industry that uses pneumatics in a variety of different applications so I do have something to bring to the discussion. Even so, I could easily be wrong. But when I'm wrong, I want to be shown where I am wrong so that I may learn something from it. I've never taken kindly to mockery.
