Just home last night from the unforgettable experience of the game and I will share a couple of comments on the weather and its effects. I have read the media reports about fans leaving early and the, at times, modest level of crowd noise. The crowd noise was somewhat dampened, both eaten to a degree by the wind and rain, and fans huddling in crappy weather (Perhaps, too the crowd was a little more "corporate" given the ticket prices). I sat in the Hawksnest (uncovered) and it was less raucous than I have experienced before, through most of the game.
There was a moment in the game that I will never forget that I have yet to read about anywhere in the media or fans comments, that I believe symbolized the turnaround that was to come. After Wilson's 4th int with just over five minutes left there was a change of possession timeout and during that period the seahawks defense took the field while the packers offense huddled on the sideline. Alone on the field, our defense danced at the line of scrimmage waiting to make a stand, hands raised in the air these guys danced on seemingly fresh legs. Bennett, Avril, Wagner, KJ....pumped up the crowd as a few in the crowd began to leave. People think that the 12's pump up the players, but during that change of possessions, when things looked the lowest, the players pumped up the crowd. After that the defense got their 3 and out and from there everything changed.
As far as the wind, it did not seem terribly windy at my end of the clink. There were a few gusts but the wind was neither constant nor fierce. The wind may have affected RW's deep throw int, but Wilson was off most of the game even on short passes, throwing too far out in front of receivers consistently.
