Trade K9?

Higher up the thread I said that Walker's poor vision is why I favored Charbs. This analysis shows that he hasn't gotten any better. I'd definitely start fielding offers because I'm just not convinced that he's going to start reading blocking any better than he has shown so far.

Trade K9 for what? A 7th round pick...maybe?

If (and it's a big if) they are trading for another player then he could be a throw-in to perhaps mitigate the trade compensation.

Any team that wants him is going to have to divvy up more than a 7th round pick. We might as well take our chances on being awarded a comp pick by letting him walk in free agency if that's the best we can get.

I remind you guys that are defending him that this is the last year of his rookie contract, and it's blatantly obvious that he is not a good fit for this system (See the link in Oly's post). And that's before we consider his injury history. If we don't plan on re-signing him next year, likely to an overvalued contract, the smart move would be to trade him if a decent offer is made. It's better than letting him walk.

The trading deadline is Nov. 11th. There's a good chance that they'll be a team or two that's desperate for a running back by then and might be willing to overpay for Walker.

Why would they have to give up more than a 7th round pick? What has he done and showed that makes him worth more than a bottom of the barrel pick on a flier he might stay healthy and improve? What would you pay if a GM for K9?

I would pay nothing. I wouldn't even make the trade unless I was desperate for something. I'd pay no more than a 7th round pick. If the Seahawks refused, I'd find some other oft-injured RB that can't get it done to pay a 7th round pick for.

Do you think K9 is worth a comp pick? I'm having trouble seeing it.
