They may have put themselves in a jam and it's way too much to fill in one off season and would take an Offense that was be productive at times and make it worse.
I can see JS letting Geno go and getting another QB like Darnold or someone else but not both.
I think we need to roll the dice with a cheaper and younger QB, and invest in a better offensive line. I have supported Geno as a starter, but at $45 Mil it isn't worth it at his age and his redzone woes. I know he has low mileage on his body from sitting all those years, but signing him to a larger deal at his age and not developing our next QB is just setting the team back further. I enjoy a winning season, but we need to be a top 5 defense and a top 5 rushing offense for us to be competitive. Of course there are a lot of moving pieces for that to happen, but if we had a top 5 D and top 5 run game, any above average QB could work with that.
