Hawks Lambs finale

Postby Stream Hawk » Sun Jan 05, 2025 11:37 am

Happy new year! I’m actually excited to watch this game from a scouting perspective. I like that we are starting everybody. In a perfect world this will be a legit blowout. Thinking we approach 30 and don’t give up much.

I'm glad Abe Lucas was shelved. I'm hoping they can recover him going into next year with more knee rehab time.

I hope Tyler has a good game since I think this is his last game as a Seahawk without a severe pay cut. I hope for no serious injuries.

I'm looking forward to the offseason to see how John cleans up the cap and continues to work to rebuild the team.

MacDonald should have a better idea of what he needs and wants after watching all the players all year. This year we will see how good MacDonald is at helping John with team building.

Justin Jefferson doesn't drop that.

Edit: Well, at least he made up for it.

Glad they sat Byron Murphy too. Would have hated to see anyone seriously injured in this pointless game.

Riq Woolen is probably gone. He showed his promise and likely gone now.

This team will look very different next year I believe. Now time to see what John does with Mike MacDonald's input. Then see if any good cuts are made. The downtime of the offseason begins.

Defense did not end well against a bunch of Rams backups. Offense looked like starters playing against Rams scrubs, which is what it was.

OK, I was way overconfident for this one. Perhaps it human nature to be passive on defense. Just playing it safe to get out healthy. Or Murphy is really DMVP?

I swear Pete was coaching this one in the end!

We will see in time, but I think Murphy is a very important cog in the defense. You need that unsung Brandon Mebane type of player who takes on blocks and opens up opportunities for other guys on defense. That's what I think Byron Murphy is. He commands opposing O-line resources and opens up opportunities for the defense. When he's out, defense doesn't operate as well.

But we'll see as the years ago.

We also need some LB upgrades and are going to be in the market for a Woolen replacement. You can't pay him much given he is proving to be bad at tackling unless you improve the LBs so he isn't forced into tackling situations too often.

Pity the Lambs next week! This is one very good Vikings team I'm watching get their arses handed to 'em in Detroit and they are gonna be out for blood!

Rams aren't great. Neither are the Vikings. They haven't beat any really good teams either. A great record by having a weak schedule and being the best of the borderline teams.

Detroit is for real. I'd like to see them win it all. But they will have a tough opponent whoever makes it out of the AFC and if they lay an egg, they won't make it to the big game. If they play like they've been playing, they should make it the Super Bowl. Then it will take a great performance to close it.

Detroit is the team I'm rooting for as a football fan. Be nice to see them land their first Super Bowl. This is the best Detroit team I've ever seen. Their head coach is the real deal.

We get an even weaker schedule next year so if those teams we play don't improve very much we could make the playoffs - or be one of the rare 11 win teams who miss out.

I'd like to see Detroit win because of all the years of ineptitude along with the injuries to starters this year, it would be nice to see them win it all.
