Traded Nick Harris

To the Browns for 2026 6th and 7th round picks.
I guess this means Olu and Connor are the Centers this year.

I thought that Harris played better than Olu last night, but I didn't look closely at every play. They must feel pretty good about Williams.

What an interesting journey. Nick goes back to the team that didn't resign him. Well I think this just illustrates how high they are on Connor Williams for them to let quality depth go via trade.

Hunh. Strange given we are not solid at center. I guess that Connor signing was setting this up. It's early in the rebuild process. Gonna take a few years to stack some talent on this team and get it working well.

Yeah, they don't need three centers. If Williams is ready to go and Harris and Olu are somewhat close, keeping a starter and a prospect on a rookie contract makes sense. I'm impressed that they were able to get more than a lone 7th for Harris, so IMO it's good business by the FO.

I have a correction to make.
I read the comment that we got both a 6th and 7th.
Apparently we get a 6th and give up a 7th.

Here is the comment on PFT:

Cleveland has acquired center Nick Harris from Seattle, the team announced on Sunday. The Browns are sending the Seahawks a 2026 sixth-round pick for Harris and a 2026 seventh-round pick.

Either way, we it's Williams and Olu's job now.

That feels more like what I expected. Still glad they got a pick for a roster spot that would have been cleared by releasing a player anyway.

Connor Williams is 95% back from his ACL injury. Completely agree with not rushing him back. As much as I want a younger guy to step up and succeed (i.e. Olu), I also want the best player out there.
