Where Obi was wrong

Postby obiken » Tue Jan 24, 2023 2:17 pm

1. Seattle wont win more than 5-6 games this year. Flubbed that one huh. No doubt I didn't see the impact of Pete Carroll and the Tony Robbins syndrome with him. He had the kids running around making plays.
2. RW. I am not willing to thrown in the towel on RW the player, but the man okay, hes a phony. Too many players calling him such after he left the Hawks. HIS OWN OFFICE REALLY!! He cant dress out with the fellas.
3 The draft I felt was good but it was great, I just hope its not another aberration not the norm.
4. Hawk Talk, he is not a genius like he thinks, but he is better than ASHF would like to hope.

Obi, you son of a...

And I'm kidding.

Geno was better than expected. Made the season better than it would have been given how terrible the front seven is on defense.

Those two tackles are great. Made it easier for Geno to do the job. Kenneth Walker (damn you Riverdog) made us not miss Penny too much. K9 has the potential to be an amazing running back.

Now for the love of the football gods, fix the damn front seven Pete and John. It absolutely sucks to get run on like your front seven are the Keystone Cops missing tackles and getting run over like chumps. You are not a bully if you can't bully up front on defense.

I think he meant Kenneth Warner, our rookie running back.

Hehe.

But I don't want to get too carried away with my trash talking. Like my old man used to say: People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks.

Okay what I meant was he is Tonyesque in the fact that he uses the power of positive thinking and rah rah, rather than hard azz coaching, IE just do your job. A college equivalent would be PJ Fleck, Mr Row your boat, at Minnesota. The problem is it works well for a time then it runs really thin after a couple of years. That's why I think Pete was a way better college coach than a pro one, because you turn them over every 3 or 4 years. After 3 or 4 years Sherman checked out mentally, and he wasn't the only one. No one ever checked out on Lombardi, Belichek, ETC. Note well, I think Pete is a HOFamer, I just think he needs to retire, but that's just me.

Lol nice one obi . Asea was hard on me but he also manned up and gave Geno some credit before anyone else too .

As for me being a genius no and I never said that . But I had a decent year as an analyst compared to guys who make millions doing it professionally . Russ yep . Geno yes . My big miss was defense , sort of . There were those 4 games and nobody wants to talk about it or they say bad teams . I have an ally in Wyman who has been talking about that win streak several times , what was different etc . Overall bad D . Missed that . I had us at 10-7 . Miss . But not bad . I’m glad to have been as correct as I was because it was all good for my team . Don’t ask about next year till
I see the roster .
GO HAWKS!

Pete has never been the best strategist but he’s always been the best motivator . This year was an ultimate example . Like beast quake . Like the 2014 nfc title game with 4 picks and a fumble . Playoffs 10 of 13 years and a Lombardi despite being unable to draft or acquire free agents according to everyone here .

Great coach .

Great coach .

But as a Pro Coach what was he before Russ, nothing. What if Beast would have went to SF? Oh dear. PC is a good coach, but great, naw we have to agree to disagree. Course let me give you your counter argument, what was Bill before Tommy?

It's true. What as Bill before and now after Tommy? I still can't believe people argue that dude is not the G.O.A.T. QB. Seven Super Bowls. Ten trips. That level of championship consistency is insane.

Obi is never wrong. He is just sometimes misplaced.
