Benched and will step away from team for the rest of the season. Except for the fact that the Raiders owe him big bucks as per his contract, I'd say he's finished with that team.

Chicago won't be taking a QB but the Texans are expected to so that would leave 2 of the 3 top QBs still there.
The Colts need one as well so maybe we trade back, get a bunch more picks and take a QB prospect later that needs development time.
Since we need an infusion of talent all over the team, this could be another building block year.
But if the Broncos win out then things change quite a bit.

As well they will have a new HC and that sometimes gives teams a bit of a bump in attitude.
Hawktawk wrote:Carr 24 TD passes . 14 picks ( leads league ) 3 were last game . Not surprising .
Geno 27 TD passes . 9 picks .
Carr has had a consistent run game and a better defense with a true “ dude “ in mad max Crosby . An elite receiver and tight end .
He has been Geno light . Almost 5 k yards in 21 though . We will see what this stidham dude looks like . It’s entirely possible that he winds up back there but he’s an upgrade on some teams if he he gets let go too . It does kind of set a market for Geno too .

The AFC west is the worst, IF Geno had to play there we would not have won a game, except for the Chargers of course.

Hawktawk wrote:I’ve always liked Carr . He’s tough , authentic . Lots of turnovers though and some horribly inconsistent games . He was benched after 3 picks . This year Genos better . But Carr has 8 pretty solid years .
He will have a chance somewhere . So will Geno . It’s as starved a league for QBs as its ever been .
trents wrote:Yeah, the handwriting is on the wall for this one. Both the team and Carr are burning the bridges.
Hawktawk wrote:Davante Adams has also said thanks no thanks to Carrs benching and is refusing to play the last 2 as well . He made it plain that Carr was the only reason he came there.
